Hotel vicino a Swope Park - Kansas City

“Hotel was not a $222/night hotel. Barely worth $100. Convenient to event. However, toilet seat wouldn’t stay connected on the toilet, the fill valve on toilet failed continuously without manual intervention, and could not maintain water temp in shower. TV connection constantly failed and had to be reset. For all this wonderful lodging, they charged an additional $100 to my card for a damage deposit. Hotel is old and has not been updated. “We prepaid for our room. We arrived late- just before midnight after a long day of travelling. When we arrived the room was not ready. The front desk seemed to be scrambling a little but said they had two open rooms. They told me it would be ten more minutes. Forty minutes later- around 1 am- we were given a room that was less than satisfactory. The manager had mentioned that it was in need of some repairs but it was the only room they had available. “The sheets on my sisters bed had a dried blood stain on it. When we told the woman at the front desk she basically accused my sister of lying. The valet brought my sisters car to us and we got in It reeked of pot. I was told a manager would call me regarding a refund for one of our two rooms. No one did. I called two other times when I got home and received no call back. I got Expedia involved. Then I called hotel again and finally got an assistant manager who was very polite and professional...

“Wonderful, gorgeous, stately home turned into hip accommodations while in KC. 10 minutes from anything you’d want to do in KC. Street parking in front of the property is free and easy. Can’t recommend this property enough!”
