“We happened upon this place when we got rained out during a camping trip. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. It reminds me of an older ski lodge but it is an excellent place to stay. When we visit Tahoe, this is where we always stay now. We love this place! It is great relaxing by the pool. The restaurant here is excellent. Great service and great food. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Again, we will always choose The Grandlibakken when visiting Tahoe.”

“The girl at the front desk was very helpful and attentive. The property was old. Our room smelled terrible. The drain in the shower was plugged and caused a horrible smell. There was one tiny bar of soap for 2 of us to use for 2 days. Only blinds on window, no curtains and people could see in room. 10 min walk to shoreline at bwach.”

“The room I had was very well appointed. This is a historical property and a lot of effort has been put forth to maintain the authenticity of the building. Quite charming. Clean and well cared for. Pretty good value. Needs to be staffed a bit better. My room was on the third floor and no elevator. No staff to help with bags but the very kind slot manager helped me out”
