Cozy cabin with mountain views on small family farm

Come stay at The Bungalow, and enjoy a peaceful vacation amid the beautiful landscapes of the Kiamichi Valley! The Bungalow is located on a pick-your-own blueberry and fruit farm, within minutes of the Choctaw Nation Health Care Center, as well as the Talimena Scenic Byway and Ouachita National Forest. Features all the amenities you need to enjoy your time indoors as well as out!

Talihina, known as The Village Between the Mountains, is the gateway to the Talimena Scenic Drive and the Ouachita National Forest. With the Kiamichi Mountains to the South, the Winding Stair Mountains to the North, and the Potato Hills to the West, Talihina is a great starting point to explore some of the most beautiful natural scenery in Oklahoma. With lakes, rivers, streams, camping facilities, hiking trails, equestrian camps, wonderful restaurants, and excellent accommodations all within close proximity to Talihina, you are sure to have a wonderful time exploring the region and learning the unique history of the town and the surrounding areas!

The cabin was clean and ready for guests. Before we arrived, the host stopped by to turn on the lights for us. As we arrived, we took a wrong turn (didn't follow directions...) and the host's husband tracked us down and led us to the cabin. The location was quiet and peaceful as well as just a very short distance to the park.

Our family weekend

Stay was awesome. We found our cabin quickly because we had instructions from owner. But address wasn’t correct, no sign at entrance, so our daughter could not find us tell we talked to her. Had everything we could possibly need to complement our cooking. Good beds, good appliances, huge rooms, beautiful interior wood walls & floor. Pieces making up the doorways were exceptional. We had a great time.Could have used more outside area for hosting small gathering, ( meaning picnic table, outdoor chairs more than two, maybe some more pavers to give an area off the grass. I’m very allergic to chiggers)Overall, we loved the cabin. Thank you Katie & husband & sons.

Relaxing getaway

Such a beautiful cabin! Clean and set up so comfortably, I felt so relaxed and at home as soon as we stepped in the door. We couldn’t find the hairdryer, but otherwise all of the basic necessities were provided, and I was impressed by the abundance of extra pillows and blankets and that the tv was hooked up to cable. We were in town for an event, so we didn’t spend much time at the house, but I wish we had planned to stay longer and enjoy the beautiful location and outdoor amenities. Definitely make time to use the fire pit if you can! I personally feel they went above and beyond to prepare the cabin and I highly recommend!

Very pleasant stay outside the quaint town of Talihina. We used this location as a jumping off spot for our hike on the Oauchita Trail. Katie is a most helpful host. Definitely would stay again. :)

Very nice cozy property. We were wanting to stay close to Talimena SP and this was perfect. Comforable beds. We were hiking early in the morning so we didn't have time to just stay and enjoy the house. I would stay there again.
