“We have just spent two days in this fabulous cottage to explore the NC500 without the stress of bringing our motorhomes up this far. (The A roads can be a bit challenging up here as some parts are single track) The cottage was spotlessly clean, spacious and cosy and also dog friendly. There were 4 adults and 2 dogs in our party. It had everything you could want or need. It is situated overlooking the coast near Tongue. It’s a mere 15 minute walk to Skinnet Beach ( very quiet and unspoilt and we...

“Zuerst waren wir etwas von der abseitige Lage des Hauses und der Siedlung in Rispond. Nach Betreten der Ferienwohnung waren wir aber sehr angenehm überrascht. Leider kamen wir fast nie ins Netz, um Kontakt mit zu Hause in Deutschland aufzunehmen. Der Gastgeber, der uns persönlich begrüßte war sehr freundlich und erklärte uns alles. Wer Natur und Ruhe schätzt, der ist hier richtig. Zudem ist man in wenigen Minuten in Durness.”

“Unser Aufenthalt (4 Personen) dort war sehr erholsam, wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Außer uns waren dort nur Schafe, Kühe und die Stille. Das war sehr schön! Im Haus war es sehr sauber und die Küche war ausreichend gut ausgestattet. In den anderen Räumen, wie Schlaf - und Wohnzimmer fehlte es uns an Abstellflächen, ein kleines Tischchen oder Schränkchen. In den Schlafzimmerern fehlte uns ein normaler Kleiderschrank.”

“We loved Smitty House! The kitchen was a highlight....a great gathering spot. Loved the layout with the bench and table. Great for morning coffee or evening meal. A lovely, well appointed home. Very well managed. Great communication with Michael. Nicely done! And Tongue? Somebody dropped a "cute bomb" on the place. What a picturesque setting. We would actively seek out a stay with the host properties on any return visit. Thank you again for your great communication and warm hospitality!”

“Property is conveniently situated with spectacular views overlooking Tongue bay. Orkney and on really clear day Shetland as well. Hosts are very welcoming and the welcome hamper is a nice touch (very good coffee). All in all a great time was had by ourselves.”
