“This was our second stay at Barns and it not disappoint. The rooms are spotlessly clean, nice touch with the mini fridge with fresh milk and water. The street is very quiet, as are the rooms. Only 3 rooms but we didn’t hear or see anyone so we had the beautiful back terrace to ourselves, a little sun spot! Lovely large kitchen/dining area for your use but we ate out both nights. Would highly recommend.”

“GREAT hotel, excellent value! The food (both breakfast and dinner) was outstanding. It's right across the street from a group of high rise apartment buildings that looked rather sketchy, so we weren't sure how safe the area was. And THERE IS NO LAUNDRY FACILITY, regardless of what it says on Expedia!!!!! That was the main reason we booked this hotel on Expedia - only to arrive there and find out that it isn't so! ”

“I liked everything about the Marine. Only one criticism and that was the fact that the hotel itself does not have a direct telephone that you can ring them on. “The hotel is in a lovely setting and the main house looks very charming. I had booked into the annexe into one of the express rooms. I arrived at 11 at night at Prestwick airport so was using the hotel as a stopping off location. The rooms are very basic and a little old fashioned, but clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. I had breakfast in the main part of the hotel which was very comfortable. I would certainly recommend the hotel.”
