Waterfront Paradise on Tampa Bay w/Pool

Two beautiful houses on a huge 1+ acre waterfront lot. 9 bedrooms/7.5 bathrooms that feature 4 master bedrooms w/private bathrooms & walk-in showers. Will sleep 21 people with a total of 11 beds. Perfect for large family groups, weddings, & special events ($1,250 flat fee). Fully equipped fitness room, pool table, 2 laundry rooms, and fully furnished kitchens. 2 outdoor dining areas w/gas grills. Two 67 ft lanais facing the river, 3 porch swings, outside kitchen & a 2 story 175 ft long dock w/sundeck & fish cleaning station. Enjoy swimming, kayaking & fishing right off the dock.

Year-round carnival within walking distance and several good restaurants in the area.
15 minutes from Busch Gardens and a short 20 minute drive on I-75 to downtown Tampa.

Bad experience, terrible communication

The good part first: the house is charming and well air-conditioned, lots of areas to gather with family. Pool is great. Unfortunately the host went absolutely no contact after the first day. The trash outside had not been picked up for at least a week when we arrived, probably two, and was swarming with flies and maggots. No answer on if it was going to be picked up, what we should do about it. Raccoons got into the old trash and spread it around the property, which we picked up ourselves to spare the neighbors but man, that was disgusting. I attempted to contact Mark on the VRBO app, text messages and calls multiple times but nothing for the full four days (even though his voicemail was active). We ended up buying industrial size contractor bags and keeping our garbage in there indoors. We made the call to leave them in the air conditioned house so the animals wouldn't get at them again, but this has been such a frustrating and not trustworthy experience that I'm frankly worried we're going to get some kind of penalty for not following checkout directions. It's a bummer because the property really is nice and unique. But with a family reunion, trash piling up and no ability to communicate for our whole trip really put a damper on it for the whole group.

Riverview house

We arrived early on a Sunday. We text and asked if we could enter the house early. No response. When we did get in at 3:00 there were puddles of water all over kitchen in the big house. We sent a text with pics to the number they gave us and no response. The air conditioning was not working on the lower level of the big house. We messaged on VRBO, text and tried to call them. Again no response. We had to shift people around so nobody was sleeping on the lower lever in that heat. Monday I got an auto message on VRBO asking about our stay and if I had any questions. I again told them about the A/C not working. Finally got a response that someone would be there that day. Seems like the small house has a termite issue. It rained very heavy one night, water was coming in the lower bathroom of the big house and it smelled like sewage. Once we got the hiccups straightened out, we had a blast. We had 17 people in total and there was plenty of space for everyone. We did feel like for the amount we paid, it could have been a little cleaner and updated. There was confetti and a mylar ballon from another groups stay. Some of the kitchen cabinets were wonky and broken. We are a pretty low key adaptable group, so we just rolled with it. Overall the space fit our large group very well. The location was great as we have family right up the road. The dock was a favorite for our kids to fish and the pool was large enough for everyone to swim.

Great house for a big group

We had 16 guys stay at the house and all fit comfortably. The communication was great, easy check in and check out process. Location is solid in convenience to downtown Tampa where we went to a hockey game and Bern’s for dinner. The neighborhood could be a little nicer but the house makes up for it.

Big place less than great

Place is very big and spaciousThey only provided enough plates, cups and cutlery for six people. While boasting sleeps 18-21. Did not provide a broom but asked that you tidy up…we requested a broom they did not respond but did drop off a broom left it outside and didn’t tell anyone. We asked for the smoke alarm battery to be replaced. Very Annoying repeating beep. We went and bought a battery and replaced it. Grill was nasty we cleaned it enough to use it. Used a ball of aluminum foil because no grill brush provided. Out door kitchen had dirty dishes left in it. Cabinet doors in guest house are broken. One in the kitchen and the bathroom. Literally falls off when door is opened, no joke.Mold on the ceiling in that kitchen and the bedroom with bunk beds. Big bedroom in main house right rear upper broken blind.Big bedroom lower floor missing 3 blinds full view of room from outside.Knives were all very dull…nearly useable.Bottom bathroom has privacy issue….workout room connects to it with no blind over door. Toilet is perched on an award step up so elderly people or some with disabilities can not use it. No handrail leading up to the 2nd floor.Oven in main house kept turning off while in use.No matter what the timer was set at. 1 hr cook time took 3 hrs to complete. Sink leaked in kitchen..was kinda fixed by what we assume is there handyman. Definitely not worth what we charged. We were told by a local that the area was completely flooded in the last hurricane “ Milton”

Fantastic spot for a group gathering!

The pictures do not do this place justice. The dock is enormous and became one of our favorite spots to hang out and relax as the breeze was nice and consistent. The pool (l really didn’t think we would use) was beautiful and clean. I highly recommend this spot for a large group of people heading to the Tampa area!

Amazing Property!

We had the best time! This property was perfect for us being two houses. I loved the two screened in porches, the deck over the boat, the large backyard, and the big dining room. We were on a team retreat and this space allowed us to meet together when we needed and spend time alone when needed. The homeowner was fantastic to work with, the property exceeded my expectations and we got to see some dolphins just off the dock!

Gorgeous property with space for everyone!

This property was perfect for our large group. Especially having multiple bathrooms. Everyone had their own room and space to move around without feeling crowded. The second house on property was extremely useful to store food and do an extra set of laundry. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the pool during our stay. But the host was so accommodating and communicative during our stay. This house had everything we needed plus more. With it being right on the water, the view was gorgeous view in the mornings and evenings!

Amazing place

We booked the house or I should say a houses last minute for a team bonding event. I actually didn’t realize it was 2 properties. 😊 The setup was perfect for us as we had our coach and his family and a good portion of our team. The girls loved swimming in the pool, lounging on the 2 decks! One deck was located over the boats and offered an amazing view of the sunset. We fished off the deck and actually caught fish!! We saw dolphins in the water by the deck and little sting rays swimming in groups in the water. We grilled out with the girls and cooked. We had an amazing time. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all. We had 17 people there. Everyone had space and was comfortable. Girls played pool and the games in the evening. We would definitely go back again.
