“The adjacent pub is beautiful and definitely has a woman's touch.The staff are lovely, friendly and courteous. The breakfast was very nice and you get plenty of choice. The hotel is adjacent, newly done up, clean and inviting. The room is tidy and has a modern style. The bathroom was clean and crisp. The single room, however, was extremely small and the bed very uncomfortable. I did not get a good night sleep. ”

“Lovely little guest house with the restaurant below it. The person at the checkout was welcoming and friendly, he brought my luggage up for me to my room which is really helpful because there's no lift, only stairs. Food was delicious (Asian-approved spiciness) and staff was nice. On the Sat evening when I was there , there had been a live band playing outside the restaurant area, they had a stage for live performances. Lovely atmosphere with good food and music. “Second visit and a very warm welcome once again, we stayed in the main building this time, plenty of stairs to room six, but a big room with a massive bed and nice views down the high street”

“A unique and quaint property. Owners have a long history with owning the beautiful lodge. Perfect for what we needed (1 might stop over). Would love to go back once fully renovated as a wedding venue. It has so much potential and I wish them all the best. Quirky fact - Charles Dickens stayed here back in his heyday! ”

“Welcomed in nicely car parking very tight Food in restaurant outstanding - superb taste and good value Room excellent - better than last time I stayed -chose a better room ! On the negative then someone else parked selfishly in the carpark making it extremely precarious to get out - should have been stopped and was charged at dinner for something i didn't have - only noticed today ”

“Fabulous stay. I checked in online the evening before as the property does not have a recpetion. We got there about 3pm and the PIN we were sent was wrong. Luckily a man was there who helped by phoning for us. We were not informed of which room we had or how to access the key. Once again the man (sorry we do not know who he was) helped us - thank goodness. The hotel was beautiful. The location was very centeral but quiet. A huge and very clean room really good and comfortable. The password...

“Paul met us on arrival. Explained everything clearly. Very helpful and friendly. Dirty around property meaning on the main path outside property burst and rotten and smelly rubbish all along path guessing the council bin men have had strike action and council not quick enough to clean area up thoroughly.”

"Hotel in posione ottima per raggiungere il centro anche a piedi, mentre la via di nottee piena di vita e comunque ristoranti, pubs, locali notturni sono tutti li!"

"Sono stata in questo hotel per lavoro per tre notti. Solitamente scelgo il Leonardo in Europa come catena di hotel in quanto mi trovo benissimo con le stanze ed il servizio. La posizione non è male, essendo situato abbastanza in centro ma questo hotel non è stato per nulla come gli altri Leonardo in cui sono stata. Le stanze sono piccole e per arrivarci ci vuole molto tempo in quanto non so che succede con i quattro ascensori ma si creano code per aspettarli. Inoltre la cosa più deludente è stata il servizio ho chiesto due sere di fila la colazione d’asporto ed entrambe le mattine si sono dimenticati o non lo hanno scritto. La colazione inoltre rispetto altri altri Leonardo non ha molte opzioni senza lattosio e senza glutine sebbene i camerieri siano gentili. In sintesi non ritornerei in questo hotel visto il servizio."
