Riunioni e matrimoni della famiglia NH Country Retreat

Incantevole rifugio di campagna nella regione dei laghi del New Hampshire con la White Mountain National Forest nelle vicinanze. Perfetto per vacanze in famiglia, riunioni o location per matrimoni.

Lo spazio abitativo spazioso, luminoso e per tutto l'anno si affaccia su oltre 500 acri di campi e boschi di famiglia. Ascolta il gorgoglio del Mill Brook mentre ti rilassi alla Brookland Farm. Goditi il caffè del mattino su una terrazza soleggiata o, alla fine della giornata, rilassati con un cocktail sotto il portico dello schermo mentre ammiri il tramonto sul Monte. Whiteface e Passaconway.

La casa stessa è una casa colonica di oltre 200 mq, 1 e 1/2 rinnovata, 200+ anni con 10 letti (3 regine (una con privacy ridotta), 5 doppie, 1 singola e un divano letto estraibile) e un moderno cucina abitabile (cucina a gas 5 fuochi, lavastoviglie, elettrodomestici inox, pavimenti in legno). Lavanderia, sala genealogia familiare e una camera da letto sono adiacenti alla cucina. Internet wireless ad alta velocità, TV digitale con lettore DVD. All'estremità opposta della casa si trova una grande sala (23 'per 24') per riunioni più grandi con camino, tavolo da pranzo (12 posti a sedere) e portico vicino allo schermo.

Il layout tentacolare ospita un gran numero di ospiti (massimo 12) per divertirsi sia in interni che in esterni, indipendentemente dalla stagione. Circondata da dolci campi ondulati e antiche mura in pietra, la proprietà è tranquilla, silenziosa e magnificamente paesaggistica con numerose aiuole.

Lo spazio di vita all'aperto comprende una terrazza con grill a gas, una veranda adiacente con vista sulle montagne e un bungalow con 2 amache per rilassarsi. Nel nostro vicino laghetto privato, goditi una nuotata rilassante o vai a pescare (laghetto fornito di spigole).

Miglia di percorsi privati attraversano i nostri boschi e consentono agli ospiti di praticare trekking, birdwatching, mountain bike (montagna o strada), sci XC e racchette da neve proprio fuori dalla porta sul retro. Canoa al vicino Bearcamp Pond *. Oppure, se vuoi solo essere pigro - croquet, ferri di cavallo.

This house worked out really well for an adult family group attending a wedding at nearby Whiteface Hollow. We actually spent very little time in the house on this beautiful fall weekend. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms had plenty of clean towels. As a bonus the surrounding property was beautiful; rolling fields, the foliage, and a little pond.

From the beginning, the host, Chris, was responsive and helpful answering any questions. We were a multi- generational group gathering from 3 states for a family wedding in the area. This property was perfect and was a quintessential NH experience. The vistas of fields and mountains were stunning and several from our group hiked on around the property. It was beautiful. And the stars at night without any light “ noise” were glorious. The house was perfect for us- enough beds, well- appointed bathrooms with plenty of towels. Its real charm, though, was in knowing it was a true family home where history and family legacy were celebrated and honored. It was a privilege to stay there.

Family Weekend fun

We had plenty of beds for the 9 of us and the layout of the house was explained well by Chris so no surprises there. The only glitch we had was that 2 of our members have walking problems and even though there were beds on the first floor, one had a high step into the bedroom and the other was blocked so that a walker would not fit through. I should have mentioned the ambulatory problem to Chris beforehand considering the age of the home. Also the beds on the first floor are quite high and the ones on the second floor are normal height. There is a step stool in the upstairs bath.

Great time

Once we figured out how to make the bedrooms work (the three upstairs are accessible through the first bedroom so people in the second and third bedrooms have to walk through the first and second to get to the second and third) we had a great time. It was 5 miles from the wedding venue at the Preserve at Chocorua so that was convenient. There is a great collection of cassette tapes and a cool throw-back stereo system which was fun.

Our 4th Year!

You are a marketing expert. Make this description of a stay at a vacation home sound wonderful. This was my family’s 4th stay at the beautiful Tamworth farmhouse and it doesnt ever disappoint! Hikes by beautiful streams and bridges, tubing the rolling hills of snow, ice skating, and then back in time to a fireplace and wood stove with the whole family playing Scrabble and building puzzles. I just know we are making memories for a lifetime with this annual trip. Gratitude to the Alt family, for graciously sharing your legacy with us.

Wedding stay

The property and surrounding area is just gorgeous. The house is an older home with a bit of charm and was comfortable. We (6 adults and 2 teenagers) were in town for a wedding at Whiteface Hollow and this was the perfect location. It’s less than 5 minutes to drive there. All in all it was very nice.

2nd stay and will return!

Farmhouse charm on the most amazing property! This is 2nd time staying here (my parents, my family, and my sister's family) and like last time, we loved tubing the day away with our kids and playing Pictionary, building puzzles, and having dinner in the great room. The weather was oddly warm this year, so I ventured into the hiking trails on the property - words do not capture that beautiful creeks and waterfalls with well marked and cleared paths. This house is truly a gem!

Picturesque Property

Beautiful, private property. Spacious farmhouse. We loved sitting by the fireplace at night and that picture window in the kitchen every morning. The walking trails are well maintained and easy to navigate. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back
