“When you visit Halifax, stay in nearby Dartmouth at Windmill Walk. You will enjoy a quiet neighborhood and a 10-minute walk to the ferry that crosses the harbor to downtown Halifax and the waterfront. Our second floor spacious apartment has large west and north windows. A small private deck is off the bedroom. This 1920s-era building is in great condition. Andy, our host who lives in the building, met us when we arrived and gave us a detailed orientation. He made us feel very welcome.”

“1970’s spacious retro basement suite. Lovely lake view and had coffee and wine down by the lake to watch the birds several times. Fun with the ping pong table too - what a nice addition. Was damp downstairs and dehumidifier was quite noisy. We still had a lovely time . ”

At the same time, the location meant that we could escape the hustle and bustle of Halifax for a relaxing evening where we spent our time near Glen's dock looking for seashells with our daughter. ”
