“si tratta di un albergo sporco nelle parti comuni con i giardini assolutamente incolti. nelle stanze c'era tappezzeria vinilica di dubbio gusto non confacente con lo stile dell'albergo. le porte delle parti comuni erano tutte usurate dal passaggio dei carrelli la vernice era consumata e si vedeva il legno. abbiamo pagato e siamo scappati via senza neanche soggiornarvi.”

What they lacked was not informing that one slide-door of the shower box was broken. Unfortunately I only found out about the problem when I already was in the shower box and managed somehow to close it. When I noticed the problem to the staff, I was told the they were aware of the problem but 1. I was given the room anyway and 2. nobody has thought to tell me about the...

“There was a glitch with check in but the owner when contacted was on scene promptly and the issue was resolved quickly. Property is very convenient for restaurants and although the bathroom is not ensuite it is very clean and modern. ”

“This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem.”
