Cozy Tavares home in with heated pool on the canal

  • OUR HOME:
    Come swim, fish, dock your boat and relax in this newly updated cozy home that sleeps eight people. There are plenty of home amenities provided, including fishing poles and beach towels, but in case you need to purchase extra there is a mini grocery at the end of our street.
    If you want to relax indoors, Netflix and Amazon Prime is available along with games, puzzles and dress up items.


    IN THE AREA:
    At the end of our street is the local favorite restaurant, Mary’s Kountry Kitchen.
    The house is located on a canal that is a short 15 minute ride into Lake Dora or a 10 minute drive. Dock your boat and walk right into Mount Dora where there are plenty of restaurants to eat at , weekly events such as a farmers market, art galeries and shopping. It connects to 5 large lakes that have amazing restaurants on the water and live music on the weekends.

Very comfortable, everything we needed was available. Beds were great! Enjoyed fishing off the dock, a little to cool to use the pool, that’ll be for next time. Loved the area, peaceful and quiet.

One of the cleanest houses we've ever stayed in! She was very prompt in answering questions we had upon arrival. Great location & had everything you needed in the kitchen to cook! TONS of games for us to play, which was great because we played games nightly. I'd stay here again!

Great place,quiet neighborhood.

My little dog Clementine and I needed a break from the city and went to visit family near Mt Dora. We stayed in this adorable place on the canal which has a chorus of frogs singing beautifully every night. The dock is lovely . Pool is nice and accommodations are clean and well stocked with coffee and everything you would need.

My family had a great time, and found the house to be beautifully decorated and warm. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for cooking, and very nice appliances. Rebecca was a wonderful host, and very accessible to answer questions, and my granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We would definitely go back.

Great rental property

First off this home was the best equipped we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at many vrbo homes. The hosts were very nice and responsive. The home has anything you could need for a great vacation. The dock on the canal was wonderful my (4 year) granddaughter caught bream everyday. We also caught bass and bowfin. Lots of fun for all. Really great place to stay.

Great Stay!

We needed a place to recover when we weren't melting faces at Bikefest in Leesburg. This beautiful house was probably very peaceful before we came and again now that we're gone. The heated pool was nice to relax in after a long day of entertaining the masses and that beautiful kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook up a few meals to share with our groupies (wives) or whatever. Would highly recommend and will seek this place out if we return to rock out next year!!

Quiet, clean property.

The property was very clean and had the needed amenities. The family enjoyed fishing off the pier. If the weather was warm enough, we would have enjoyed the pool. The property provided fishing poles and swim toys. The neighborhood was quiet and close to a general store and grocery store.

Loved the house, plenty of parking for the bass boats, great location to take off from the dock to fish Harris chain of lakes. Great amenities for our stay. Plenty of pans & supplies, and a good working grill to cook on the nights we choose to stay in. Hope to be able to rent this place again for our next fishing/vacation trip. p.s. Lovely Home

We stayed 6 nights and really enjoyed this home. This home has the perfect size pool for your little ones and a lovely dock to fish and drink coffee while watching the sun rise! (I especially appreciated the extra door locks on the back doors that are out of reach of small children!) Kitchen was well equipped and we loved the living room area! During our stay, we enjoyed renting a boat and exploring the lakes and being able to stop by the house whenever needed because of the dock at the house. This home is 50 minutes from Orlando in a quiet neighborhood. The homes in the neighborhood are not the most manicured/polished but don’t let that scare you away from enjoying this home!

It was perfect!!

We absolutely loved this house!! Ours kids loved to fish from the dock. They loved the pool too. It was to cold for us adults lol. Rebecca was great to work with. We had a couple of hiccups with the code for the door. But I just sent her a message and she got it taken care of. We will definitely book with her again in the future.

Cozy and comfortable

There are so many things to say about how great this rental was for our long weekend away. First, we rent houses a lot and this was by far the best decorated and most comfortable house we’ve ever stayed in. I loved all the detail like the wall mural upstairs in our daughter’s room, the butcher block counters, and cute pull handles on the kitchen cabinets. We did not have the best weather so the fireplace kept us very cozy. We brought our boat and were able to cruise the canals around the house. My husband loved the dock in the backyard. There is a boat ramp super close. The lakes were a little too windy and cold this particular weekend but we still had a blast. We tried to book again in March but the house is completed booked. We will be back.

Destination Wedding/Family Getaway

My family of five came to Tavares, Florida to attend a wedding. We decided to extend our stay and in doing so, looked into a home rental versus staying at a hotel. I stumbled on this delightful home which fit all of our needs for space, comfort, and location close to the wedding venue and our friends home. This home was comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with everything we needed. During our stay, we had the opportunity to fish off the dock and relax in the pool area. We also took a short ride into Mount Dora one evening for a delightful dinner. Check in/check out was seamless and owner was quick to respond to any questions I had about the accommodations. The only problem was with the comfort of the sofa bed, but we were able to address it by using the air mattress instead. I would highly recommend this home and would not hesitate to return.
