Large family FUN

We have a large family with 10 adults and 12 grand kids. This place was ideal with all the space! And right on Lake Huron. We did not have ideal weather but the kids swam anyway! The only time we left the house was for grocery store runs! A wonderful vacation for all of us.

Perfect Location

Pros: This home was a perfect location on the beach, but also a private feel. There was ample room for our large group size, plenty of room to move. The house also came with all the amenities you could think of; linens, towels, dishes, cookware, grill, dishwasher, toys for the kids, tv's in every room, puzzles and games. Property manager & Owner were very prompt in their responses when reaching out. Cons: The listing is not fully accurate. There is no hot tub, jet tub, or anything of the sort even though it is listed as having one. The home could use a very, very deep clean. While it had everything you could imagine you would need plus more, it lacked cleanliness. Dishes and serving wear were available to use, but needed washed before using. The floors (even with the understanding it is a beach house and there will never be a way to get rid of all the sand) did not appear to have been cleaned. It looks like the cleaning crew only vacuumed & swept removing loose dirt and skipped mopping. Our first night of the stay the upstairs toilet started malfunctioning and the property manager & owner were not able to tend to this for the duration of our stay. Yes, there are 4 bathrooms, but we did not have full functionality of all. Overall, good stay. Would recommend if you are ok with a little cleaning as you go.

Great home for great times on the lake

Our large family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lake house on Lake Huron. We had perfect weather to enjoy the sandy beach, and the house worked great for our large extended family.

Great location But

The location is amazing and we general enjoyed our stay. I was not properly cleaned when we arrived. We ran out of fire wood the first night and it took too long to get more. We had to buy some. Toilet seats were loose on two of the toilets. Same last year. Cupboard doors were hanging off the hinges. Great place but the maintenance and cleanliness are lacking. Poor service from property manager.

We had a great time in a beautiful home. We did a variety of activities, both inside and outside. Also visits into Tawas were great. Super location, sand, and Lake Huron. We have already made reservations for a return.

Couldn't have been more perfect!

Plenty of room for all 12 of us adults and my 1 year old Granddaughter. The house was one of the cleanest I've stayed in and so many things to do. Extremely stocked kitchen and no fighting over bathrooms with 4 to share. We were all so happy that we are going to book again for sure. Not to mention the sunrise view on Lake Huron right out of the door was amazing!

Lake Huron Family Getaway

Our family had a great time enjoying the sandy beach on Lake Huron. The house is a great size for our extended family of 14, with a large dining space where we could all eat together. The kids loved the beach, kayaks, and paddle board. The house is clean and has had some really nice upgrades over the past year. The host is easy to communicate with and always responds in a timely manner. We will definitely be going back.

Our vacation

The property was clean and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials such as utensils, pots and pans, and other. The beach is right behind the house and easy to access. There were plenty of towels to use. The beds were all made and clean. We loved the property overall and would definitely visit again.

Great Spot on a Great Lake!

Our large extended family really enjoyed our stay here. We were fortunate to have nice weather and the kids loved the sandy beach, water, kayaks, and the campfires. Really everyone enjoyed their time and the property really made it easy for a large group of 11 adults and 4 kids to have a great time. The bedrooms we a great configuration for us. We had room for meals inside or outside. The "Solo" fire pit on the deck was really nice to have an accessible location to gather around at night. The location is great and the family is already asking if they can come back next year.

Wonderful vacation spot!

This is an exquisite place. The beach is pristine - fine white sand and lots of privacy. The house is so comfortable. The kitchen is really well-stocked, and the two of the living rooms face the lake for watching the sun rise. We loved sitting on the deck and admiring the rose garden and Lake Huron. The owner responded very quickly when we needed a few little things. All in all, it is a splendid location. My family is already clamoring to schedule the place for next summer.

Family Trip

The property and home are nice. We had plenty of space and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for 17 people. The proximity to the beach is perfect and we used the fire pit which was nice on a cold day. The big dining room table was perfect for us all to be able to eat together. The property and home do need some TLC and improvement on the cleaning. The stainless steel appliances weren’t very clean and we wiped them down before using them. There were dishes in the dishwasher that were wet and moldy as well as the dishwasher itself so we had to run a long clean before we could use it. Many of the dishes and cups in the cupboards also needed to be washed before we used them as they were moldy. The coffee pot also was moldy. The interior of the cupboards need to be cleaned as there were dead bugs and crumbs. The cupboard with the trash can was filthy. We were going to use the green pullout sofa upstairs, but when we removed the cushions the mattress was covered in sand and mouse droppings? Most of the sheets and blankets in the closets were on the floor and not folded so I’m not sure if they were dirty? It would be helpful if the bath towels were in the bathrooms rather than the laundry room. Some of the beds were made without fitted sheets, just a mattress pad. There is not a mirror in the bathroom off the bedroom by the kitchen so that was inconvenient when trying to get ready. The front door is difficult to open and requires a big shove to get inside. The kids would have used the X box, but the batteries were dead and we couldn’t find anymore. Most homes we have rented have had a manual to refer to as well which would be helpful.
