Starry Nights - Cozy Cottage on beautiful Lake Huron in Oscoda, MI

Starry Nights is our middle lakeside cottage in Oscoda, MI. Well suited for families, couples, singles, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Relax on the beach, take a dip in the lake, or simply sit by the fire, we have whatever you're looking for. Four miles south is the town of Oscoda known as Paddletown, USA thanks to the beautiful AuSable River which lets out into Lake Huron just before downtown. Also in Oscoda are awesome areas to hike and fish. Travel down River Road scenic by-way named Michigan's most scenic drive by Big Seven Travel, which cuts through the Huron National Forest, with many stopping points such as Lumberman's Monument and gorgeous Iargo Springs. The cottage includes; 2 bedrooms with queen-size mattresses, one pull-out couch, a kitchen stocked with dishes, silverware, and other cookware. Beds are furnished with linens and linens are provided for the pull-out couch. A full list of amenities and local attractions may be found in the check-in binder provided. We look forward to sharing our hideaway, with you!

No smoking of any kind is allowed inside the cottages, or on the property near other guests. We do not provide ashtrays outdoors.

The property is within 100 yards of the water. There are 2 fire-pits and seating by a clean sandy beach. The cabin is very comfortable and upgraded to a modern look and feel.

Take them at their word. Nice spot right on a beautiful sandy beach. House provides bare minimum though in other ways: no spices or condiments, no shampoo/conditioner/body lotion, no extra towels or blankets, not even an extra roll of tp.

We really enjoyed our stay. We wanted a secluded place that us and some other families could enjoy with our children and this location was perfect. There was a fence so the kids couldn’t get to the busy road, an amazing yard for them to run around and play in and the beach was perfect distance from the cabins.

We had a great stay! The cottage was exactly like the pictures showed, very cute and updated. Lake Huron was just outside our door. We had some spectacular sun rises and sunsets! We were there for leaf peeping and would love to return in the summer time.

Amazing View!

The property is very cozy with a gorgeous view of Lake Huron. We could hear the waves from inside the cottage. So peaceful! Our hosts were very quick to reply to questions and Very accommodating. The photos posted are very accurate. The bathroom was clean and functional but very tight. Also there was no place to hang or store clothes. Not a problem for us to live out of our bags, but thought it could be shared. It was a beautiful, peaceful place to unwind which is Exactly what we went for. Thank you again for yiur hospitality ♥️

Great stay! Mattresses were super comfy, plenty of fresh clean towels, pretty decor, cozy cabin. Host was friendly & super responsive. Late at night (too late to message) we realized we were missing a sponge, but I'm sure if we had realized it sooner and asked the host it would have been resolved immediately.

Family Get Together

We rented all the cabins to have a mini family reunion. We enjoyed the beach and the shaded tree area very much. Plenty of outdoor furniture and the grills and fire pit were also a plus. The cabins were just enough room for everyone.I would say a 9 out of 10 stay.

Relaxing Vacation

We had a fantastic vacation. The kids went kayaking. The beach was wonderful. The owners continue to update these cabins. The new kitchen look great. Highly recommend.

2nd Visit

Bryan and Haley are the best we always enjoy ourselves at their property. They are always so accommodating and the beautiful private beach with toys is super awesome too. Thank you again and cant wait to come back next year !!

Another great vacation!

This is the third time we’ve stayed at this property and we love it! The cottages are great, the new AC units are awesome, and the beach is beautiful. The water is very shallow for quite a ways out which is great for kids. The owners are incredibly responsive and accommodating and we’ve already booked for next year. Thanks again, Bryan and Haley, for a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful Beach

Overall very happy with the property. Very clean and right on the beach. The only thing that was a little disappointing was half the paddles were broken so it was a little difficult to share the paddle board and kayaks with the other guests.

Cute Spot Right on the Beach

Our family (2 adults, 2 toddlers) really enjoyed our stay in the Starry Nights cabin. The house was clean and comfortable, the host was very responsive, and the beautiful, sandy beach was just steps away.

Accommodating service

The property was beautiful. The cabin provided all of the essentials and was just as pictured. I was in touch with Bryan a few times and every time I requested something, such as a late check out, he was more than accommodating. I would just say to pack a dark blanket or towel to cover the windows since the white curtains did not block light in the morning.

Perfect cottage for a getaway

Great location, nice beach, great amenities, really enjoyed using the kayaks, Lake Huron was like glass both days. Host easy to communicate with. 4 little cottages in total. We rented 2. Would be perfect for friends or family to rent all 4.

Nice cabin!

I brought my parents here for their anniversary and we all enjoyed the cabin and the perk of having Lake Huron just steps away. Very nice getaway and E. Tawas is close if you want to shop.

wonderful place to stay.

we loved our time at Lovango Hideaway. The beds were comfortable. Loved the round table in the eating area. The decor: white, grey and blue in the main room and colorful bedrooms were great. All in all it was very comfortable. One suggestion: even though we were on vacation we love to cook. The stove in our unit did not work very well. The burners were uneven and loose. The oven worked fine. We definitely would like to return in 2022. Thank you.

Great property and beach!

We had a great time this weekend! The cottage was clean and was exactly as described. I had messaged the owner before our stay so I already knew to bring a firestick (no cable or smart TV). Bring a few extension cords and/or power strips if you’ll have things to plug in and bring along the three-prong adapters for extension cords because all of the outlets are two-prong. The cottage was super cute and the ceiling fans in every room were awesome. The location and the beach are perfect and my kids loved that they could swim out to the sandbar. We’ve already booked for the same weekend next year and are considering a second weekend stay next spring/summer. Owners were very responsive to messages and the check in process was very easy. Thanks, Bryan, for a great weekend vaca!

Beautiful location. Everything you need to enjoy the beach.

Although there was an unexpected issue with the plumbing, Bryan and Gary were quick to address it and get it fixed so that we could continue to enjoy our stay. The beach and water are beautiful and the property provides lots of sand and water toys for guests to use.
