Characterful family friendly Cottage - Elephant Cottage

Tucked away in the heart of Tetbury, just minutes' walk from the high street, lies Elephant Cottage, a beautifully styled Cotswold holiday home which sleeps six guests, in three inviting bedrooms, with a spacious family bathroom. This three storey, 18th century townhouse has been sympathetically styled in keeping with its history and character, boasting exposed beams, painted stone walls, fireplaces and sash windows. Contemporary touches have been delicately incorporated to create a beautiful home. The outside space of Elephant Cottage is a true hidden gem, with a surprising roof terrace sporting ample seating and cosy nooks, an ideal space to enjoy throughout the year.

This three bedroom holiday cottage in Tetbury is an ideal retreat to share with family and friends, exploring the local countryside whilst still being within a short walk of Tetbury's many amenities and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Bedroom 3 (Sleeps 2)
Double bed, feature chimney breast with ornamental Victorian fireplace, ornate internal window looking into the landing, freestanding clothes rail, desk, armchair and French doors leading to the roof terrace

King size bed, ornamental fireplace, armchair, freestanding wardrobe, mirror and internal window to the landing

Family bathroom
Sunken bath with overhead rain shower and separate handheld shower attachment, loo, basin and heated towel rail

Second Floor
Door on the landing reveals a steep staircase which leads directly up to the bedroom

Master bedroom (Sleeps 2)
Dual aspect bedroom in the eaves, exposed stone feature wall, painted beams, king size bed, storage trunk, built-in cupboard and mirror

Accessed via low French doors from bedroom 3
Sheltered roof terrace with seating lining the walls, outdoor table with feature window looking down into the dining room below, decorative chimenea and additional seating area tucked around the corner

The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 3 additional infants (aged 2 or under)

The front door opens onto the road and so guests with young children should take particular care to ensure that children are supervised when the door is open
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

Cosy cottage in a great location.

Lovely characterful cottage ,very comfortable and nicely furnished. Well equipped kitchen. A few minutes walk from the village centre. Some road noise at night as the cottage is right on the road (we’re not talking about the M1 though!) Enjoyed the roof terrace although getting out and in was a little trick at times!
