Lots of great walks start from near the hotel, including the UNESCO walking trail throughout the Wachau. Great restaurant - and the wine is great. I can recommend the flammkuchen with their Pinot noir! ”

There was however limited food resources and although there was a restaurant next door, other than that it was a long walk to any other place except for a campus sandwich shop.
