“Room was very clean, had a little bit of a strange smell when we first arrived and the bathroom smelled a little bit like drainage. We opened the window in the washroom and kept the door locked so it wasn't a problem. Staff is lovely and has a nice dog as well! We did the Safari through the hotel and it was a great experience! Thank you 🙏 ”

“The AC in our first room wasn't functioning properly. We were moved to another room and that was great. The staff were all fantastic, the pool was beautiful in a great location which felt like you were in the jungle. Breakfast was excellent. Other meals all very good and tasty. ”

“Leopard Trails is a fabulous rustic luxury camp in the beautiful Wilpattu Park. This was one of our favorite stays in all of Sri Lanka! The Naturalist guide who took us on safari was attentive, knowledgable, and a genuinely great guy. Back at camp, the rooms were comfortable and the private dining candle lit dinners were magically romantic. I recommend the suite with the plunge pool, it was bliss after a hot and dusty drive on safari. Do not miss the opportunity to visit this special place! ”

“Hotel would not honour the rate / amenities booked.
At check-in informed they would not provide the amenities (game drive, afternoon tea each day) that were listed in the rate I booked. The manager blamed Expedia.
The manger gave in partially and offered 1 x complimentary game drive, but this was not what we booked.
Additional big negative. Room was also freezing. Asked for a blanket and told none were available - manager had an extra sheet delivered. We were told to wear more clothes if...

“Part of this hotel is under renovation. Improvements are being made but the service is excellent as provided by Dilan, the owner.
This hotel has a huge lake right behind it and it is sanctuary to wild life. Very quiet and peaceful. I strongly recommend it.”

“Hôtel bien placé pour safari à Wilpatu, le safari était super avec un guide très attentif et qui a su nous montrer beaucoup d animaux et oiseaux en prenant bien le temps. Une coupure de courant le soir, le personnel a tout fait pour rétablir au plus vite. Le gérant de l hôtel propose ses services de chauffeur pour des prix correct, très arrangeant. ”

“Non so come possa avere tanti 10 - ok costa poco ma un minimo di pulizia e servizi, lenzuola rotte, aria condizionata rumorosissima, pavimento che non veniva spazzato da un bel poʻ. Le tende non sono per nulla oscuranti e questo alloggio é molto lontano (a piedi 1 ora, in tuktuk 10 minuti almeno) dalla zona archeologica. Non ha nessun ristorante, niente biciclette a noleggio. Non so se i clienti siano davvero stati qui o lo confondano con un altro resort”

“The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that.
The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space! ”
