The hotel however has limited services: no parking, no elevator and limited staff (some friendly, some a bit rude). Cost is only justified by its location in Skye. “The cottage was very well situated to explore and enjoy the Isle of Skye. We loved the private setting with a wonderful view across water to hills in the background. It was a very relaxing retreat after a day of exploring the island. The Croft cottage has been expertly renovated and is well appointed.”

“We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. ”

“My wife and I spent 3 nights at Hugh's Highland Hideaway as the centerpiece of our 12 day Scotland vacation. What rare a special place. The cottage is surrounded my meadows and grazing sheep set againast beautiful green mountain slopes behind. Inside it's very well kept and clean with updated heaters, bathroom and kitchen.
