“Impressed by the overall service offered by the Sun. We had good rest in the room and enjoyed excellent atmosphere and food at the pub, both at dinner and breakfast. The staff offered us the opportunity to park next to the hotel free of charge in a spot that was temporary available for the night. Would recommend to visit when in Lancaster ”

“A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent.”

À la carte breakfast was good quality. Convenient with the onsite bar & restaurant. We stayed during the week so no problems with noise. Car park is in a back lot & very small. ”

“This would have been a 5 star review had I not bought the breakfast. The staff were all courteous and professional. The rooms were clean and adequately sized for my 2 night stay. View rooms face the water, but also a busy road so some may find the noise unpleasant with the windows open. I opted for a standard room and it faced a quiet area. The breakfast was a typical assortment of hot dishes and cereals, and tasted fine. I must say, though, the coffee was possibly the worst I’ve ever had, and...

“There seems to be no mobile phone coverage at the County Lodge Carnforth. When I arrived at 8.30pm 25/5 the door was locked shut, the place was in darkness and a note attached to the door said to phone a mobile number to gain code keys and access BUT their number failed to ring. Tried multiple times, including 100m away in 3 directions. A landline number was given on the accommodation door, this also failed to ring. “My husband & I were very pleased with everything about our stay @ The Auckland Hotel. The staff were lovely & we had a wonderful welcome.The hotel was idea to walk to the promenade. Our room was lovely & the bed very comfortable. The facilities in our room were excellent. The breakfast was superb & well worth paying the extra. I had the vegetarian breakfast.
