“We had a lovely stay at Woodlands Country House. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great base to explore the wonderful Lake District and surrounds. Daryl and Naomi are great hosts. Daryl's food is amazing. We shall miss his great breakfasts. We were very sad to leave Woodlands. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“Friendly and hard working staff, lovely, clean room with fan available. Shower was great! Hot chocolate was a nice addition as well as the usual tea and coffee. Vegetarian breakfast was very nice.”

“Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *”

“The new owners are certainly making their mark on this property with lots of work going on (did not affect the stay at all). We were in a newly refurbished room which was spacious and beautifully decorated. Will certainly be going back, excellent location, great food and hosts. ”

“Our third stay in this hotel. Staff lovely and helpful and food excellent although really don’t like buffet style breakfast. Bedroom would benefit from an update- carpet I’ll fitting, no full length mirror. Bed comfortable. Bathroom lovely and shower worked well. Choice to decide if you want your room serviced or not.”
