“Set in the quiet and bucolic Norfolk countryside, this is a lovely place to stay for a quiet retreat. We stayed in an en-suite cabin with two dogs, we were surrounded by woodland and looked out over a lake, of which there are a few within the site. Alongside the great views, we had a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities and a clean and modern en-suite. “First thing we saw on entering the room were several quite big green (ink?) stains on the carpet. A lovely big bed but only 2 small pillows, so had to ask for more. The room was very hot and although we found a fan it didn’t get below 26 degrees the 3 nights we were there, outside not over 22 degrees in the day! We went to the Restaurant our first night and waited 30 mins for a drink. The food was not good and loud party of golfers drove us to the bar. Not much better so took wine to our room....

“Sian, the landlady is wonderful -- friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel's.com said there are laundry facilities but this is not true. BUT Sian did our laundry for us. We stayed in the annex but no one who was mobility problems, or is tall or heavy should stay there -- it is difficult to maneuver under the low ceilings. ”
