Oystershell Lodge è un lodge con tre camere da letto splendidamente presentato, immerso in un ambiente spettacolare sulle rive nelle vicinanze di Otter Ferry. Progettato unicamente per godere della vista mozzafiato da ogni angolo che si affaccia sul Loch Fyne, un nascondiglio perfetto per rilassarsi e distendersi in un ambiente bello e tranquillo.

Gli interni sono di ottimo livello e il lodge è composto da un ampio soggiorno a pianta aperta caldo e accogliente, arredato in stile contemporaneo con comodi salotti, grande schermo TV e stufa a legna. Viste spettacolari sono presenti dai comfort nel vostro salotto attraverso le grandi finestre della porta del patio che conducono ad una splendida terrazza grande, a pochi metri dalla battigia. Guarda le maree che cambiano e l'abbondanza di uccelli marini.

La cucina completamente attrezzata è ben attrezzata con tutti gli elettrodomestici moderni, tra cui un forno a grandezza naturale e piano cottura, frigorifero / congelatore, forno a microonde e lavastoviglie. La sala da pranzo aperta può ospitare fino a 6 persone, perfetta per intrattenere.

Uno dei tanti punti salienti di Oystershell sono le finestre dal pavimento al soffitto nella camera da letto principale che offre spettacolari viste panoramiche sulla baia, semplicemente mozzafiato da svegliare. Sia spazioso e luminoso con il proprio bagno (solo doccia e servizi igienici) questo è un rifugio perfetto per un rifugio romantico. Ci sono anche due belle camere doppie con bagno in comune.

Il lodge è idealmente situato di fronte alla spiaggia nella proprietà privata di Ballimore, una base ideale per esplorare le sconfinate attrazioni storiche e paesaggistiche che sono in offerta in questa bellissima regione, per le numerose attività per il tempo libero tra cui passeggiate, escursioni, ciclismo, pesca e navigando, c'è qualcosa per tutti.

A pochi passi (0,8 miglia) il famoso ristorante Oystercatcher a Otter Ferry si trova sul lungomare e offre cibo di prima qualità e birre premiate prodotte localmente nella vicina birreria Fyne Ales in cima al Loch Fyne.

Oystershell Lodge è un posto speciale che ti farà tornare anno dopo anno. Ideale per una vacanza in famiglia, una romantica luna di miele o un'occasione speciale.

Stunning Lochside Location

We had a lovely few days staying in the idyllic spot by the lochside. The views from the cabin are stunning. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing. It is isolated so make sure you take all you groceries! The local pub has great meals.

Views are beautiful, house is comfortable but a little tired. The location and peace and quiet are fabulous, nearest supermarket is 50 minutes drive so come prepared. Perhaps some comfy chairs outside to sit and enjoy the view.

Our little escape.

The way I explain this little place is like driving through a vortex and arriving at the most tranquil, relaxing, and beautiful place. The views are breathtaking, the accommodation has everything you need for the perfect stay. And we already have 2 more stays booked. This is the perfect place to stay in and unwind and refresh. We are so grateful to have found this little gem. Sat on the edge of the Loch, lovely walks, you will keep yourself busy doing nothing but enjoy.

Weeks holiday with the Husband and the dogs

Location is stunning. I cannot emphasise that enough. Lodge is cosy enough and has everything needed to self cater but is dated in parts and needs refeshing. Lots of wood for fire was provided. The road to the lodge is slightly hair raising being single track road for 12 miles and I wouldn't want to drive it in the dark. The location makes up for everything though and it's very peaceful. Take all you need with you and you'll be fine.

Peaceful escape.

The setting could not be bettered for a quiet and beautiful getaway. The kitchen is well equipped. The log supply was very generous as due to the weather we used on a few evenings. A few things require attention. An unseen Split in a Perspex dining chair caused an injury while in use. We left a note so that this could be picked up quickly. Sliding patio doors in sitting room almost need two people to operate as very heavy and hard to slide. The en suite sink in main bedroom requires a plug. These were the only three things that we felt would have improved our stay. The lodge offers a comfortable and well equipped base for exploring the secret coast and proximity to The Oystercatcher could not be better.

A lovely cottage and a fantastic view

We really enjoyed our stay it was a lovely cottage and a fantastic view. It was in many ways the nicest cottage we've stayed in being romy with good furniture and very comfortable beds. Would have liked more information such as how the wood fire heated the radiators, that the only access was via single track roads . The fire lighter was empty but we had matches, the kindling was insufficient but there were plenty of logs. The only significant issue was the sliding door which was very stiff, my was unable to open or close it. If the weather had been warmer this could have been an issue. We would the property if you want a quiet beautiful remote break.

Stunning location

A very spacious and well equipped lodge in a fantastic location on the shore of Loch Fyne. Very peaceful with great views across the Loch and ever changing lighting conditions and lots of wildlife. Many excellent walks locally and the Oystercatcher pub is very friendly with great food & drun

Oystershell Short Stay

We couldn't have asked for a better location for our short stay but whilst the Oystershell Lodge is comfortable it is in need of some TLC. The decking area, ballastrade and steps are in need of repair or replacement. The handrail is splintered and some of the steps wobble. There was no key for the lock on the patio doors and instead had a hook and eye fixing to keep it closed. There is no door for ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom and the shower door is in need of repair. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the view across Loch Fyne was stunning.

Oystershell Lodge

Amazing views from every window in the lodge. The weather was very wet and windy for the first few days of our stay. The last few days the weather enabled us to get out and about more and explore the area. The lodge is very well equipped and the bedrooms have comfy beds. If you want to “get away from it all “ then this is the place to come. Would highly recommend.

What a view!

We really enjoyed our short break and we were hit with two storms which made it even better. Sitting at the fire, watching the waves crash against the shore ... it doesn't get much better. The windows in the bedroom are genius! We'll definitely return. Loved it.

Oystershell Lodge - a wonderful stay.

The accomodation was as described in the booking information and everything we needed was provided in the lodge. There were a couple of defunct light bulbs in the kitchen which Tristan came and replaced promptly following a phone call. The best feature of the lodge was it's location with superb views of the Loch, plenty of wildlife to watch and very peaceful. Some comments in the visitor book made reference to a need for a refurbishment of the lodge as decor and fittings were rather tired.We would concur with thiose remarks and in addition we found the heating system (particularly the hiot water supply) was rather baffling and uncontrolable - water was either too hot or too cold and the carpets and bathroom fixtures and fittings need replacing! However none of this detracted from a our stay and a an excellent way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Fabulous Stay in a Beautiful Part of the World

We had a fantastic week in Oystershell Lodge. The pebble beach is literally footsteps from the door and the water was crystal clear. We were very lucky with the weather, which made it even more magical - but the views from the Lodge would look amazing even in the rain! Takeaway fish and chips from the Oystercatcher are an absolute must!

A very special location

We had the most special family break at Oystershell Lodge. The setting simply couldn’t be improved upon, if, like us, you like remote and off the beaten track. The views are amazing and ever changing with the time of day and perfect positioning for Sundowners. We all especially enjoyed the beach bonfires. There is plenty to do if you love the outdoorsy pursuits and there is no better place for peace and quiet too. The lodge is very well equipped with everything a family needs. The beds, linens and towels are very comfortable and high quality. Great for younger families where children will enjoy the freedom of playing in the outdoors safely and relatively without restriction. The only small criticisms would be the outdoor space could do with a spruce up and it was very hot a few days of the stay with no respite from opening the windows. Could have done with some fans in bedrooms.

Stunning location

Oystershell lodge is a fabulous place for a relaxed and peaceful stay. The location is unbeatable, stunning views over Loch Fyne and the oyster beds, there is always something to watch and the constantly changing sky makes it a fascinating area. The lodge is well equipped and really comfortable, we stayed for a week and wished we could have had longer. The Oyster Catcher pub is excellent and the surrounding area has so much to offer, great for walking, bird watching and generally mooching about.

Stay number 9 @ Oystershell Lodge

Yes 9th stay so very happy. A peaceful stay in a comfy lodge on beach with great walks for the dog. If you love water sports you’ll love Oystershell and there is also another 4 lodges nearby if not available. Hospitality is so friendly with Tristan and will update you with on eateries nearby and dates and times of fish van visits. Only suggestion I would give is that the decking is needing tended to. Will definitely be booking for our 10th visit.

Wonderful lodge in a spectacular location

The lodge itself is well laid out with a wonderful kitchen, lounge, dining area perfect for relaxing in. The location however is nothing short of sublime. Even on bad weather days all you need do is sit in front of the fire and watch the weather patterns out over the loch. On one day we were lucky enough to spot an otter out in the loch.

Great views and feels like a magical hidden place!

The lodge is brilliant and we have never seen our dog so happy..It was a great escape and very comfortable stay. The deck was very tricky for the dog to walk on and quite slippery. It would be good to have some weatherproof chairs on the deck to sit on. The lodge would also benefit from a real barbecue on the deck even a gas one. Overall though it was a fabulous break and we would certainly return.

Enjoyable short stay. Lovely location right on the lochside.

Cabin situated on lochside. Lovely views from the living room and bedroom. Very well appointed and comfortable. Log burner supplied with plenty of logs. However, the living area could do with another source of heat as the storage heater is not working. As this was November, it was difficult to heat the whole room. Rest of the lodge was very warm and cosy. A fresh lick of paint would be good ,particularly both bathroom doors. All in all, a lovely property in a beautiful location.
