Beautiful Views

This place has absolutely beautiful views! The kitchen is very well stocked, but does have a lot of expired condiments in the fridge, luckily we brought our own. The beds are comfortable as well. The hot tub seems new, but doesn’t maintain temperature. Each time we got in, the temperature would drop. After less than 30 minutes of use, it would be at 98 degrees. Something that needs to be addressed, we thought maybe it was on an energy saving mode. The kitchen had some ants, luckily bait was left. The grill has seen better days. It is missing a knob and the igniter button didn’t work. Check in was a bit of a hassle. We got here at 4 pm and the cleaners were still on site, cleaning. We ended up driving around and were finally able to check in at 4:40 but the clean job seemed rushed, and the place wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Regardless, it was a nice stay in a beautiful place, just a few things that could be improved .

Amazing getaway spot

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and enjoyed our visit. The house was comfortable and very clean. We especially loved the views from the living and dining room -- perfect for just hanging out and relaxing while watching the waves and the sunset, and we took a few beach walks every day which was fantastic (very few people on the beach here). We had our 2 big dogs with us and the house accommodated them very well, too!

Wonderful upstairs living room & location

The house suited us just fine, 4 friends spending the wknd together. Fantastic location and beach access. It does need some work though-- basement smelled a little musty when we first got there but was fine after opening the house up. Windows need replacing.. upstairs bathroom could use some love. Overall we spent most of our time upstairs enjoying the view.

Great Place

This is an excellent place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The view and beach are amazing. The use of the fire pit and hot tub was a nice addition. They also included a small gift and chocolate by the bed. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed this property. An amazing.view with great access to beach. We enjoyed privacy of.location and just vegged out. Our dog loved the beach and this house was great for our dog. Our teenager loved the location and provacy to just chill. We would stay again.

Seaside Splendor

This beautifully appointed cottage sits directly on the ocean with a stunning view of the iconic Cape Meares sea stack. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, away from the crowds, this is a must for you. The oyster shacks and cheese tours in Tillamook are a must!! Will be coming back to this gem!!

Beach Worthy Stay

The house is exactly as advertised! The view was spectacular. Access to the beach was super easy. Added bonuses for us - the hot tub, the fire pit, the deck, the grill, and the large dining table. They had everything we needed to cook meals every night. (We grilled every night). Did I mention the hot tub?! The furniture in the living room and the mattresses (extra firm = hard) were not very comfy. The pillows are extra soft and thin. Even so, we would stay here again. The area is so lovely, the tucked away neighborhood peaceful, and the beach beautiful.

Low Key and Restful - Just what we were needing.

Enjoyed the house so much. The location was fantastic, as was view and access to the beach. Sunsets were awesome! It's a small and very quiet community without many amenities, which was fine by us. And my husband & I aren't TV watchers, so we didn't have TV subscription access for the most part. Lots of reading, guitar playing (husband brought his), walking, snoozing in the sun, domino playing and meal prep for some great BBQs. Our dog enjoyed it too. We'll for sure be coming back again.

Great location

It has a wonderful view, however it was hard to enjoy the outside deck with the construction going on next door. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. Upstairs was very noisy to anyone staying downstairs. We did not get to hot tub due to the workers right next door., I guess there is no way of knowing if there is a project going on next to the rental when you book it.

Really unique spot, great for one couple, maybe not for multifamily

Location: In the middle of nowhere, no phone reception for us (AT&T) within miles, no restaurants, gas stations, hiking, etc. within 15-20+ min drive (the road which causes these drives to shrink way down is currently closed). HOWEVER, it's away from the more crowded coastal areas. You might be the only one on the amazing beach for half a mile in any direction. So if you bring your own food to cook on the fully appointed kitchen, and then camp out at the house, it's quite nice. House: Very nice looking place, very clean, and it's been updated everywhere except the upstairs bathroom, deck, and bedroom. The reason I mention that it's not great for a multifamily stay is that even though there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, whoever stays in the downstairs bedroom gets the short end of the stick. The upper floor has squeaks and warped floorboards EVERYWHERE. I think there might be something really wrong with the structure, or the upgrades were done horribly. Either way, the squeaks are heard below-- every single step, no matter where on the upper floor you're walking. The deck needs a refinish, as any time it's damp, it's very slick. Just a strip and a stain would work for awhile, but a replacement like what the neighbors have with glass walls would enable a view from the awesome top-quality adirondak chairs. The wifi is very nice quality and keeps you connected if that's your thing :) The home also has landline phone. The hot tub was nice and clean, but a bit old school in layout-- 2 people can sit in it if they keep their legs bent like sitting on a chair. Otherwise you're tangling up a bit, which might be OK. Neighbors to one side were very present, and the lack of a high fence meant you would see each other from the hot tub or driveway. They would make a point to hop outside and linger every time we went out, it felt a bit weird. We like to keep to ourselves in general, maybe if you're more talkative it would be a positive? Nice place if you don't plan to go to restaurants and "Staycation" for a single couple, or a very understanding and deep sleeping family/friends who wouldn't mind sleeping downstairs.

AMAZING!!

So if you really want to get off the beaten path this is the place for you. Cape Meares is a very sleepy coastal town. No amenities, not many people and a spectacular beach. It's Fall so the weather was unpredictable; rain, wind, sun and a full moon. The property itself was amazing. Great views right from the house, walk straight out the back door and on to the beach. Bed was super comfy, kitchen really well stocked. We cooked a lot , electric stove could use an upgrade but honestly no complaints. Wish we'd stayed for a whole week. Last night I woke up to same strange animal calls at 3:00am and it was a herd of elk right outside our back door. Magical!! Definitely coming back. SHHHH! Don't tell anyone.
