Farm stay in Devon

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. The Piggery gained it's name from it's affectionate neighbours (our 3 kunekune pigs), but it's far from slumming it. We recently renovated to bring you up to date comfort and luxury, whether you're relaxing around a BBQ in the private garden (don't worry, the pigs are behind a fence so won't steal your salad), snuggling up to watch your favourite film with our superfast satellite wifi or using it as a base to explore the local area, you're sure to be in for a treat.

Creatures great and small
During your stay you're likely to be visited by our friendly and inquisitive free-range pygmy goats who are brother and sister (Boris and Fern). We'd also love to introduce you to our other much-loved animals so come and knock on our door for snuggles with our pigs Beatrice, Bonnie and Babs, chickens, guinea fowl or our tame sheep. You may also get visits from our 4 cats and golden retriever who love hugs too. Feeding time is a real blast!

Peace, quiet and space to unwind
Backlands is well off the beaten track, away from any main roads and overlooking the local farms and hillside. You'll have access to the Piggery and it's private garden as well as ample parking right outside the property. The local village is a short drive or 20 minute walk away and has 2 shops (1 being a post-office), a pub and a cafe.
