Rustic Cabin With Mountain Views

Welcome to A Rustic Hideaway!

A Rustic Hideaway is a two-bedroom cabin with a loft and two full bathrooms located on a wooded property with picturesque mountain views in the peaceful area of Todd. Green Valley Community Park is minutes away and provides access to the South Fork of the New River for canoeing, tubing, and fishing. There is also a public playground, a picnic shelter, and hiking trails. The town of Boone is 20 minutes away, with local attractions such as Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park (20-minute drive), Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park (30-minute drive), High Gravity Adventures Zip Line and Aerial Park (30-minute drive), and Appalachian Ski Mountain (35-minute drive) to name a few.

The great room includes a plush sectional couch and mountain-style furniture arranged around a large stone wood-burning fireplace and a mounted large screen TV. Adjacent to the great room is the kitchen and dining area with seating for six. Wood floors, tongue-and-groove walls, and vaulted ceilings provide a warm mountain cabin experience. The deck beyond provides a gas grill, hot tub, and wooden rocking chairs where guests can enjoy the tranquil mountain environment.

The main floor king bedroom, second upstairs king bedroom, and the open loft space with two twin beds accommodate a total of six guests. There is a full bathroom on the main level across from the king bedroom and a second full bathroom upstairs with access from the loft area and the upstairs king bedroom.

There are three Smart TVs in the house, with cable in the main living room and ROKU streaming service upstairs. Guests will feel comfortable in any season with central heat and air conditioning. There is a washer and dryer and Wifi available. Up to two pets are welcome to be added to a reservation at A Rustic Hideaway. The road leading to the cabin is gravel with a level gravel parking area in front of the steps down to the covered deck entrance and space for two cars comfortably.

  • You're driving through the Appalachian mountains, and you stop to get out and see the highway view of the blue ridge parkway. But does this actually let you get an insight to how beautiful the land truly is?No, you have to get out there and find the view that fits for you. That highway view is something that everyone see's just passing through and it isn't special. Getting out into the mountains like this, is one of the many ways that i love to get away from things and get that "me time". I suggest that everyone get out and take some time to get away from technology and become close to nature.

Cozy Mountain getaway

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the "Rustic Cabin" for New Years. Beautifully decorated without overdoing it with "cute" decorations. Two good size rooms on each floor with comfy King size beds. The loft has two twin beds so this place is perfect for a family with kids. Beautiful view of the mountain side from the rocking chairs and a perfectly kept hot tub excellent for relaxing your muscles at the end of the day. The cabin is located about 20-25 minutes from Boone which means you need to plan your trips accordingly. Just stock up on essentials and you will be fine. Blue Ridge Parkway access point in Boone, however confirm it is open as they frequently shut down the roads during the winter. I would recommend this cabin without reservation. The folks at Carolina Mountain Rentals were very professional.
