“We loved the outdoor fire pits! We don’t have that at home so it is very nice to enjoy a bonfire with the sounds of waves near us. It was very relaxing 10/10! The staff here were very very lovely. The grill was good although we were getting very tired and was waiting for our check for about 15 mins. Otherwise everything was amazing!”

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! The studio property was lovely for 2 people, very clean and the views were amazing. It offered the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on during a VRBO/hotel stay. Most importantly communication was amazing. A blizzard hit the area and were unable to leave on our scheduled day, the owner was gracious enough to allow us to stay until the weather passed. They even made sure we were comfortable and knew when local restaurants would be open. Cannot say...

“What a perfect setting in the woods and close to everything ie. Lutsen and Grand Marais. A few initial small glitches; however, Mr. Smothers was MORE than accommodating especially given it was Thanksgiving day. Pool was closed; however, the public pool in Grand Marais was open. A setting were several quiet walks with family was very relaxing and therapeutic! I HIGHLY recommend THE HIBERNATION HOUSE! ”
