“This place is an oasis in the rain forest! Beautiful grounds and the staff and owner were the best! Water taxis and walking is how you get around. Ton's of wildlife and a great experience! I would call it "rustic elegance". Just one item that may bother others is there is no climate control in the rooms. That did not bother us since they all have ceiling fans, but it may be a consideration of some.”

“Although its located in a jungle, these are cabins. Windows does not have doors just a mesh, so if you are a light sleeper it gets really noisy. Receptionists not friendly”

“Great staff and very quiet relaxing atmosphere. Love that they have an adult pool to keep separated from littles when you are looking for adult time ”

“Es un lugar totalmente rústico. Para llegar, es necesario tomar una lancha. Sin embargo, está muy confortable, limpio y protegido. La comida que ofrecen es muy buena, el entorno es el lago, vegetación, y aves hermosas. Y lo mejor de todo, el trato del personal es excelente (Edgar, el barman, excepcional atención). Para ir al pueblo, también se toma taxi acuático. Toda una hermosa experiencia para relajarse en medio de la naturaleza”

“L'esperienza delle tartarughe è valsa il viaggio. Attenzione che può essere faticosa. Dicono che si cammina due km tra andata e ritorno. Noi ne abbiamo fatti lameno 5, a passo di carica, probabilmente perchè il posto in cui si erano avvistate le tartarughe era relativamente più lontano del solito Eccellente esercizio, ma se uno è già stanco...L'escursione in canoa vale abbastanza la pena.”

“Good place for a couple of days. Very cordial service, however very limited food and drinks selection. When you are locked in a place for a few days, you need more variety. Any Costa Rican soda offers better variety and quality. Not in line with the cost and expected level of the lodge. ”

“Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy a stay at the Casa Grande. There is no road to the place, i.e. they have to pick you up by boat. I sent an e-mail, left two WhatsApp messages and tried calling 4 times, all to no avail. Even 2 days later I have not heard from them. I ended up in Parismina without any recourse to get to the place, and so I had to find a different accommodation there. Very unfortunate. If you can book this place in the morning for the evening, the resort must respond, otherwise...

“Fabulous experience staying in the jungle. Accommodation basic but lying in bed listening to howler monkeys / frogs can't be beaten. Staff extremely helpful and the breakfast banana pancakes when we arrived via water taxi were amazing. Lots of places to sit out in the breeze looking at the river boats and bird watch ”

“Die unterkunft war nicht erreichbar, wir sind im Dschungel gelandet und sollten zu fuss mit allem gepäck durch den Dschungel gehen. Wir hatten aber keine Machete dabei!!! Die beschreinung des weges zum hotel ist katastrophal. ”

“House is decent sized. Very clean, has ac which is a luxury most places in costa rica. Has a kitchen with dishes and utensils. 2 rooms with 3 beds total. The host was very responsive with messages and and made sure everything went smoothly for us. Would stay here on our next trip for sure.”
