“Very disappointed in the state of the room. Numerous outlets were not working. The ceiling in the bathroom is all rusted. We assumed it was because the bathroom fan was not working. We tried to see if we could sign in Early, but there was no one at the desk. So we called the front desk & there was no answer. A person told us they were cleaning the rooms. They hadn’t even brought the phone with them.”

“Very clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful Great TV. Comfortable bed. Nothing special about this place, but it does what you need very well. A basic motor inn at a very good price in a terrific location. Definitely would stay here again.”

“We have never encountered a hotel employee like Leah. She was always around for any need we had. Also, always had a smile and kind words for us. She was very helpful in telling us where the good hiking trails were and any questions we had about the area. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in ELY.”

“We had a great experience at the Stay Inn Ely. It was clean and our room was nice. It’s conveniently close to down town Ely and has easy access parking. The kitchen was well equipped and had coffee to make every morning. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!”

“The breakfast was very nice and the hotel was well maintained. Everything was very clean. The kids had fun in the pool. We were there for a funeral and I felt like the cost was too much for one night. Otherwise, we had a nice stay.”

“Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great.”

“Positives: Staff were very friendly, curious, and polite. The room was clean. We didn't use the pool or the gym. Breakfast buffet was OK but was often just luke warm.A microwave was available to re heat things. If you like really strong coffee this is the place for you it's always hot and ready along with tea. Negatives: Our room was on the Railroad side of the building and the ice machine was just opposite our door. Having the Choo Choo run by all day and night was a royal pain. ...
