Hot Tub + Sunset Deck | Townsend + Cades Cove | Maggie's Cabin

  • On the quiet side of the Smokies, where the crowds of Gatlinburg give way to tree lines and long mountain views, Maggie's Cabin by AvantStay sits a little apart from it all. It's an all-wood retreat built for slowing down — porches made for morning coffee, a wraparound deck that pulls everyone outside, and windows that bring the ridgeline right into the room.

The main level opens up around a stacked-stone fireplace and a dining table set for six, with the living space, kitchen, and views all flowing together. Cook a proper breakfast in the full kitchen, then carry your coffee out to the rocking chairs and watch the morning mist lift off the mountains. Downstairs, a king suite gives the main level its own retreat; upstairs, a queen suite does the same, and each comes with a private ensuite bath. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room rounds things out for up to six, so there's room for the kids or an extra couple without anyone feeling on top of each other. Warm wood runs through every room, and a washer/dryer keeps the longer stays easy.

Outside is where the cabin really earns its keep. The hot tub is angled straight at the sunset, so evenings tend to end the same way — everyone out on the deck, the sky going pink behind the ridges, nothing on the soundtrack but wind in the trees. Townsend proper, with its local diners and outfitters, is a short drive down the mountain, and the Townsend entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park — your gateway to Cades Cove and the Little River corridor — is close enough to make an early start easy. It's the kind of place that feels genuinely tucked away without ever feeling far from anything.

AvantStay provides a personalized hospitality experience to elevate your stay. With our Concierge Service, guests have access to our tech-enabled services like fridge stocking, private chefs, massages, transportation, special occasion celebrations, baby gear rentals, ski gear, beach gear, and more.

Mi è piaciuto: Pulizia, check-in, posizione e accuratezza dell’annuncio
Host was great. The hot tub could use a deep clean, and just be aware that when ot kicks on for circulation ever so often you will hear and probably feel it due to the wood deck and all wood cabin. Can catch you off guard. Lol. Cabin was clean views were amazing. Kitchen cabinets is coming apart so shelves wont hold dishes.needs repaired. And master bath is unlevel so water will run down tile and tub to floor. Biggest suggestion would be a gas grill on deck area so you can cook without worrying about bears coming up behind you while you grill. My wife and I absolutely loved the views and even the rain beating down on the metal roof was amazing. Would definitely go again.
