  • Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This newly relocated cottage sits on the harbor side of a causeway accessible island with beach access in walking distance and the water at your back door.
    This modest cottage has everything you need with new appliances in the kitchen, two bedrooms, Starlink WiFi , smart tv, outdoor patio and grill.
    A quiet location 30 minutes from Antigonish and the beginning of Cape Breton. Great for a small family or close friends.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The location was perfect for us. It was quiet and clean and we really appreciated the fresh eggs she left for us.

I was happy with the booking. The proprietor was communicative. The property was clean and quite charming. I was at a conference the whole time and had little chance to see the area, but the few glimpses I caught were beautiful. NB - There is a gas stove and my partner left the burner on, which could have been bad - so make sure you turn the burner off!

This is a lovely getaway. We really appreciated the various thoughtful touches. We found the strongly scented products used set off our allergies quite badly. Perhaps unscented products in the future. A wonderful place. We hope to return!!

It was just as we expected and what we wanted—-a quiet remote place—-with more birds than people! We were so lucky with the weather too….water out front and a lovely breeze most of the time. We brought food in and enjoyed fresh fish and relaxing times. We slept well with nearly all the windows open for the night air. The tide came in and we kayaked a little out front. Super quaint place to stay. Thank you so much Marcie for the hospitality—-including eggs and veggies! P.S. we left “Flat Butchie”, my adventurous brother who passed a few years back—-he loved Nova Scotia and would have liked that place—so he stayed in the front room

A magical, very secluded little cottage in the middle of nowhere for a very private stay for a small family. It's the cutest old cottage house, super cozy, right next to calm water. It's a small house, so everything is small. The kitchen, the bathroom, the bedrooms, the living room. It's also old. I love it because it's part of the charm, so for me it's a plus and certainly not criticism. Also part of the charm is that most appliances and furniture are old as well. So keep this in mind, the beds aren't that big and are old. Be ready for it. But I'm adamant that it's definitely part of the charm and I wouldn't change it. There's a lot included : most appliances, including fridge, stove, coffee machine, toaster, everything you need to cook. Towels, soap, shampoo are provided. There was even fresh eggs and blueberries waiting for us when we arrived. Lots of activities to do around. You can you the kayaks that are available with safety vests. There is a very private and beautiful beach at 5 minutes by car, with barely anyone using it, and the water was surprisingly warm. Note that since its quite secluded, there isn't much stores or restaurants around, and you'll have to drive 30 minutes away to find places where to buy stuff. I definitely recommend and would rent again any time. I wish I had stayed longer.

We enjoyed this cute little cottage by the water. The host was super friendly and helpful as we had a late arrival. They even left fresh eggs for is as a welcome gift and had east coast fiddle music quietly playing- a nice touch! We were a little surprised by the size of the cottage- it was smaller than the photos represented. The rooms were clean, but very small. The living space, bathroom and kitchen were also tight spaces to navigate 4 people in. There were lots of thoughtful touches added to make this cottage cozy and inviting, but it is rustic and you have to be ok with a few insects sharing your space. This is a perfect place it you need to just get away and relax, there is water nearby if you want to just sit and listen to the waves, and at night we experienced fire flies dancing in the trees. It made the stay magical for my daughter!
