“An incredible location but you definitely need a car to get there. It’s high up in the hills. Narrow roads but easy to find with Google maps. Host does not speak English but daughters do. Beautiful continental breakfast with sliced meats & cheese, yogurt, cereals and muesli, coffee, tea, jams & cake. ”

“We loved our stay at Peneda ecofarm. It is well located for walks in the National Park and only an hours drive from Porto's airport. There are several natural river pools to swim in with in a 30 minute drive of the accomodation. Which we were directed to by the owners. Our room was modern and fresh with a lovely balcony. “This trip just keeps getting better and better! This is NOT a hotel. It is more a resort guest house. Complete luxury with a setting in the hill/mountains of the Douro valley that is right out of movie setting. Friendly helpful staff always eager to help. The room was luxurious, the included breakfast was just out of this world. Off season prices made this incredible place even better! The only reason I gave it 5 starts was because 6-7-8 were not available!”
