Long Lake Waterfront Home

Loon Lodge è una bellissima casa sul lungolago. E 'molto privato, sistemato alla fine di una tortuosa strada diretta nel bosco, ma a pochi minuti dal trambusto di Traverse City. È perfetto per famiglie e coppie che cercano di scappare e rilassarsi.

La casa si trova a Long Lake, uno dei laghi più famosi del Nord Michigan per la pesca, il nuoto e la navigazione. La casa ha un molo e un grande ponte che si affaccia sull'acqua.

Loon Lodge è molto isolato; il vicino più vicino è a più di cento metri di distanza, nascosto dagli alberi. La proprietà ha più di 200 metri sull'acqua. Mentre molte proprietà in affitto sono raggruppate insieme, Loon Lodge è una casa privata nel bosco.

La casa dispone di due camere da letto e due bagni. Ci sono due letti queen size, due letti singoli e due divani letto. Il soggiorno è grande e spaziosa, con un soffitto cattedrale. La cucina abitabile è completamente attrezzata. La casa ha pavimenti in legno in tutto. All'esterno c'è un nuovo pozzo griglia a gas e antincendio.

Vi è una canoa per il vostro uso, insieme con pagaie e giubbotti di salvataggio. Puoi anche portare una barca; forniamo un ormeggio e c'è un battello pubblico sul lago. Ci sono campi da tennis pubblici raggiungibili a piedi. Ci sono anche isole del lago che si possono esplorare, molti con belle spiagge.

L'area ha così tanto da offrire, soprattutto in estate. La casa è di quindici minuti da Traverse City, una città vivace e graziosa con lo shopping e le feste. L'Interlochen Music Camp, le Sleeping Bear Dunes, il fiume Platte e il paese vinicolo più raffinato del Michigan sono tutti nelle vicinanze.

Peaceful Retreat

Charming, retro log cabin in a peaceful wooded setting on beautiful Long Lake. Cabin very clean & spacious. Beautiful views and nice patio overlooking the lake. Loons calling in the morning! We enjoyed a lovely week & took fun excursions to Sutton’s Bay, Leland, Traverse City & Frankfort. Had a couple nice cookouts at the cabin and bonfire on the patio. Our Labrador “Guinness” had the best time of all! Highly recommend!

Loon Lodge love!

Spot on! Loved it! Just a great cozy cottage.The drive to get to it was a little scary.But it was so quiet and peaceful! Ty again.iI left candy and granola..I work for a company that makes it! Enjoy

Absolutely the best!

We booked the cabin for the week while my daughter was at Interlochen camp and were beyond impressed with the location and charm of the place! It is truly tucked away on a winding path through the woods and the views from the dock are spectacular. It is a traditional cabin feel but fully stocked with all of the cooking utensils and bedding you need. I will say the beds are not the most comfortable, but after the first night we didn't even care! Hiking the grounds, swimming, canoeing, cooking meals and making a fire made for long relaxing days. I was worried that with no A/C the high summer temps would be uncomfortable, but the shade and breeze from the lake made it no issue at all. We'll definitely be back!!

Fall getaway

We were looking for a place to get away and do some wine touring in Michigan. The view, the layout and the quietness sold us on this property. The directions to the house were very helpful in finding the house - big thank you to Tim for that! The house was very welcoming, clean, plenty of kitchen utensils/cookware and the bedrooms & bathrooms were a nice size. The tool closet was great - totally reminding us of something our grandfathers would have. We didn't need to use anything, but it was fun to see what was in there. If we plan another trip to Traverse City, we would stay here again.

Long Lake Visit

The house was very clean. There was a good amount of general supplies; spices, soap, kitchen utensils, which is always an unknown with rentals. It was a good place for our dogs to run around with direct water access. Thank you!

Lovely location

We very much enjoyed our stay at Loon Lodge. Everything met our expectations with the exception of the beds. Unfortunately, they were terribly uncomfortable. Aside from that, thank you for making your little piece of heaven available! Jon & Debbie

Amazing home - quiet, secluded and relaxing!

My wife and I came to Traverse city to relax and enjoy some sightseeing. After arriving at Loon Lodge, all that changed. We literally left only once all week. The house itself exudes charm, history and character. Yes, it’s an older home, but still owned by the original family, it is well-maintained and completely clean. We spent our days relaxing on the boat house patio, enjoying warm fires and beautiful views. We brought our boat, and the fishing was excellent as well. Our host Tim was available, responsive and informative, we certainly appreciated his dedication to our comfort. Being pet friendly as well, our 2 pups absolutely loved it. Daily walks through the woods and paths, and occasional jumps in the lake. My wife and I agree that this was absolutely one of the best vacations we’re ever had. Believe me, we WILL be back.

Labor Day Weekend at Loon Lodge

We really enjoyed our stay at the Loon Lodge. Really appreciated the guide to the area that the owners gave us prior to our stay. We loved walking our dog around the recreation area that was only a mile away from the cabin. We would definitely come again. Thanks again Tim

Lakeside Cabin

My wife, daughter, son-in-law and I stayed at Loon Lodge on beautiful Long Lake. We brought our 10 month old golden doodle and she is in withdrawal now that we are home. She learned to swim off the dock and now seems bored that she can't run out to the lake. Very nice cabin with great layout and everything you need. Great boat house deck with fire ring to watch beautiful sunsets. Excellent location to explore western michigan from. Great trip!

Such peace!

The property is so peaceful on the lake with no close by neighbors. My daughter & I brought our sewing machines and used rainy time to make quilts (me) and cosplay costumes (her). There was plenty of room at the dining room table and space to eat in the breakfast room and out on the patio. I cooked nearly all meals and the stove functioned well. Remember to bring mosquito repellent, it’s been a wet summer! We loved our stay!

Great location with beautiful views!

We stayed a week at Loon Lodge! The location is very centrally located and was easy for us to get to traverse city and Sleeping Bear dunes. We really enjoyed the deck overlooking the lake and made s’mores every night. The cabin is a bit rustic, but was very clean when we arrived. There is no dishwasher, which I guess is to be expected at a cabin like this. Michigan is very beautiful to explore and this made for a good home base. Don’t forget to check out Moomers. We also enjoyed the little market across the street from Moomers and stocked up on all the cherry products. Don’t miss the cherry salsa and homemade local tortilla chips - SO good!

Great Trip

The house is beautiful and clean. The isolated cabin in the woods perfectly fit our vibe without pulling us too far from the city. Only a half hour from Sleeping Bear Dunes and really close to Moomer's for ice cream and the Timbers Trail Rec Area is a great close hike.

Loon Lodge Get Away

As we pulled up to Loon Lodge ( our host provided us with excellent directions!), we were greeted by a pair of loons on beautiful Long Lake. The cottage was very clean and the host provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including wood for a fire on the deck overlooking the lake, and canoes and life jackets to venture out on the lake. Excellent location: plenty of trails to hike nearby, Sleeping Bear Dune National Park only 30 minutes away, shopping, fishing. Star gazing at night was tremendous!

Fantastic stay

Everything was wonderful plus more. No need to bring anything except yourself, food and a bar of soap ! We were amazed at all the extras Spices, bug sprays,poison ivy lotions pots and pans galore and eating utensils for More than min. Beautiful Setting and patios Overlooking lake great for morning coffe and pm cocktail Well written directions for day trips and restaurants. Tim Did a wonderful job on this rental close toTown but far enough for privacy,serenity and beauty. He has a Maintenance man that is the best !
