Camera con letto un po’ piccolo,ma con il necessario (microonde,phone,frigo). Pulizia ottima. La mattina alla reception disponibile caffè e donuts. Il motel si trova a ridosso della strada trafficata,ma il rumore non si sente affatto da dentro la camera. Visti i prezzi della zona,questo motel è un'ottima soluzione economica.

Friendly a staff makes the stay great!
The owner was friendly and helpful at the front desk. The shower was very small, but the room was clean and comfortable.

I said this on all my reviews on my New England trip the property was old outdated and over priced that said property was clean comfortable located in a good location and was the best value I found in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Other than price my only complaint was the shower was small. I would definitely stay here again

Rooms are small. No place to put clothes had to keep them in the suitecase. The bathroom is micro small. No plug in the bathroom for hair dryer. VERY SMALL. Will find other accommodations on our next trip to Bar Harbor.

The property was clean and well maintained. We stayed four nights and each day housekeeping did a nice job taking care of our room. It is right off the highway, so it is loud at times when the vehicles zoom by. There is a lot of outdoor lighting which makes it feel safe, however some of that light filters into the room. I would have liked the room to have had black out curtains. The shower is extremely small. So, if you are a tall or large person this shower may not work well for you. Otherwise, as their outdoor sign read "Spend a night, NOT a fortune". My husband and I would stay here again. It's a good value and an easy drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

Great location to Acadia NP. Liked that the room was clean and was a nice size with a microwave and fridge. The management was also very responsive when we found that our hair dryer was broken and it was replaced quickly. The beds were comfortable enough but creaked when you moved. The only complaint is the bad plumbing in the shower. The shower water temperature fluctuated between very hot and cold every 5-10 seconds so had to take a quick shower.

The property was very convenient to Bar Harbor. The only thing I didn't like was the chairs in the living room area. I felt like I was in a waiting room at doctor's office. Wish there would have been a couple of recliners.

It was close to Acadia Nat'l Park. It felt more like I was camping than hoteling...the pics on Expedia were quite deceiving to what its really like...no sofa or comfortable chairs to watch TV or socialize in the "living area"

The shower is dangerous and so small that I fell trying to pick up the soap. I’m 5’4” and weigh 137. Not a large person. No safety bar. Owner is rude. Very minimal accommodations.

Good place to stay the night when you’re trying to save a little money on your way to Acadia. Property is very dated and might not be comfortable for a multi night visit, but served its purpose for our road trip.

Was told at the desk that the water was not drinkable due to a recent hurricane. We’re told we could bathe in it, just don’t drink it. Bottled water should have been offered on site, but we had to leave to get some. The place is in desperate need of upgrading. Mattress felt like an air mattress.

They show up when filtering for properties that are pet-friendly. Then they charge you extra, saying they are not pet friendly. If pets are not allowed, they should fix their listing with Expedia so they are not included when someone is searching for pet-friendly properties.

Tiny bathroom
The bathroom is tiny, the shower stall is about 2ft by 2ft and the toilet area is also too narrow to use. I'm a big guy and using the bathroom was a very unpleasant experience.

Bathroom is only 3 ft. X 5 ft. with a 30 inch square shower. Soap and shampoo is not sufficient for one person let alone a couple. Air conditioner is an old window AC unit not sufficient to cool the room. Carpet is old and needs to be replaced. Door locks are by key entry. Hotel needs a total upgrade. Over prices for what they offer.

It was OK but I’d look around next time
I had read reviews before I stayed and one thing that I hadn’t seen mentioned is that there was no bolt or chain lock on the door, you need a key to open the door and then it locks behind you and that’s it. The size and configuration of the shower is such that it’s difficult to put legs under the water stream. You can hear every vehicle that is driving on or off Mount Desert Island pass by - so just depends on how sensitive you are to noise as to how much of an issue this will be.

The cottages were adorable. We were exploring Acadia, Bar Harbor, Elleswoth, etc. for 4 days and this was a nice place to stay whilst doing that. I will note that there were a lot of spiders but lucky we arent afraid of them.

room had a very funny smell and was humid, ac had black mold in it, bugs in the room at all times, bathroom floor was rotting. but after WE did some cleaning it was doable.

They double booked us for our first night and didn't even realize we were coming until we got there late in the day. Had to find a last minute hotel for significantly more. Stayed the second night but they didn't even offer a discount for the inconvenience.

Place to sleep after a day of hiking
My husband and I spend 3 nights in Acadia Gateway Motel. Our cottage was nice. 2 small bedrooms with a living room and a small bathroom. Clean towels and linen. Very accommodating owners. In the morning coffee and donuts were served in the office. 20 min. drive to Bar Harbor. Some updating in the Living Rm. would be nice. There was a very unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. So we kept a window open as soon as we would come from the park.

We stayed for three nights in a cottage room with a double bed. Definitely no-frills and the shower was pretty small, but it was very clean and we got clean towels every day. Would recommend for anyone visiting Acadia/Bar Harbor!

Room was large and clean. Manager and housekeeping staff accommodating and friendly. Easy access to Ellsworth, Bar Harbor & Acadia. Even though it is a motel on a fairly busy road, rooms are quiet, private, and secure.

For the most part it was okay, except for the most important piece; the bed. It was a bed that has begged to be replaced for several years now, and very small, thin pillows, that didn’t help with the comfort level. I did not want to get under the covers, opting to sleep under the bed spread instead. Also, the soap bars were insultingly small. Given the time of year and rates, it was the worst $150 per night place I have ever stayed at.

We're sorry you slept uncomfortably. The mattress was replaced just a few months ago and and additional pillows are available at the office. Soap bars are intended for only a few uses and to reduce waste as most guests stay less than a week and find such a size to be plenty for a few showers.
