“I have stayed here 3 times on my way up to NH but I will never stay here again. I arrived to a room that wasn’t clean. The floors were dirty and the bed looked like someone had a good time in it. It was disgusting. I called the front desk, she came to see the room and said she can give me clean sheets and I can put them on myself, since she was the only one working at the time. I said absolutely not, I asked for another room she said she couldn’t do that because she didn’t have anymore rooms...

“This place is a gem– – a beautifully preserved building that dates back to the colonial era which nonetheless provides all modern conveniences. It’s only a stone’s throw from the center of town on a lovely leafy street. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We’re looking forward to our next visit. If you require an elevator, be warned – – this hotel does not have one. We did not mind bringing our bags up to our third-floor room, but that might be a problem for others.”
