“The house is absolutely stunning! Pat the owner goes out of her way to make sure your stay is as wonderful as possible. She has everything for you toiletries, beverages, snacks, etc. She takes special orders for breakfast, which is amazing when traveling with picky eaters. ”

“The property is beautiful. Our room was lovely—very clean and comfortable. The seating in our room was perfect for reading, and the balcony an extra treat. Allen was so gracious and helpful. The location was great for dinner plans and a short easy drive to Churchill Downs. Breakfast was delicious—especially the biscuits and gravy. “Hand soap at the bathroom sink would be a great idea. The breakfast buffet was impressive. On a personal note, the addition of fruit would be a nice touch. ”

“Such a lovely building, clearly loved by all who work there. Information about the property, check-in procedure, etc. was communicated very clearly before my arrival. Fresh lemon blueberry scones were there for a snack when I arrived near midnight. Wow. When booking, I didn’t think about the lack of elevator at this property. My 68 year old knees did complain a little when climbing the external & interior stairs with my luggage.”

“I love it when the person that checks you in at the front desk is friendly and personable. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only drawback was the airport is very close and the airplanes are very loud.”

“Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was available each day but not always well-stocked. Pool was closed. Shower water was tepid and water pressure low. A customer was stuck on the elevator for 45 minutes. We stayed here a year ago and it seemed to be in better shape. The best thing was the price.”
