Una cabina sul fiume<br>Tre giorni minimo

Cabina per le vacanze immersa tra gli alberi sulle rive del fiume Kootenai con banchina e galleggiante per legare la barca. Vieni a prendere un trofeo Rainbow Trout! Questo è un grande rifugio estivo e un parco giochi. Cabina ha un letto matrimoniale, cucina, forno a microonde e biancheria per letto e bagno. C'è un pozzo del fuoco con legna da ardere (fuoco di sera), tavoli da picnic e barbecue a gas per cucinare. Sito RV disponibile con cabina per una piccola tassa se usato con cabina.

Getting away from it all

Everything about the stay was wonderful. It's a very private area with lots of room in the front yard to play with our dog. The back gave a wonderful view of the river. We loved counting thr train cars that went by across the river. The location was close to many hikes that we enjoyed.

Beautiful location, but that was all!

The location was beautiful. When we arrived I went to download the instructions and there was no internet, even though the listing claimed there was internet available. There was no phone service (which was also supposed to be there).Knocked on the door, it was open, keys on counter. Listing says there is internet, there was none (selected this place so I could work while I was there). Next, no hot water, no way to contact host, except to go to the house next door as indicated on their inside door instructions. At that house there were multiple large signs with guns pointed at viewer and "No Trespassing..You will die... "etc messages. No one answered the door. Once back in town we tried to call, left message for host about water, no phone and no internet. After calls and text finally got hold of them a day later. They had neighbor look at water yet another day later (3 days in). He said the heater was out, has been for a while and a new one is on order. He turned old one up to 150 degrees, still no warm water to shower or clean. Last day my husband got bit by neighbors dog, no way to call clinic or get help, had to drive to town and get first aid materials to clean and wrap the wound. This host knew there was no phone, internet or hot water, yet gladly took our money and clearly did not care if they were being dishonest. Dead bugs on couch and who knows how they cleaned without hot water! Host was rude and this was a hostile place!

Where the eagles fly

We rented this cabin for a birthday getaway, and could not have been happier. There is simply not a better place to stay. Beautiful location, quiet neighborhood, great fishing, eagles flying over the river just yards from the dock. It is a little slice of heaven with trains, that you hardly notice. Thank you the great time. Can't wait to go back.

Lovely property on the river, my dog JoJo and I loved the peace and solitude. Signe was wonderful and so helpful. Unlimited firewood, clean, tidy space with everything you need. I'll be back!

Quiet

Great quiet neighborhood. This is a tiny cabin you are staying in, but it was perfect for us. Private dock was great. Lots of wildlife around. Access to the water without the dock is really not an option, so if you have tiny humans or small dogs keep that in mind. Definitely would stay again.

Peaceful

Exactly what we were looking for! A quiet, simple, comfortable place to unplug. Beautiful location, right on the river. Everything necessary was provided, and Troy is close enough if needed/wanted anything. The trains are frequent right on the other side of the river, but they honestly did not disturb our sleep, and we found them entertaining to watch when we were up. Would rent it again in a heart beat!

Restful and rejuvenating

The cottage was cozy and met all our needs. Well stocked kitchen and thank God for A/C. It was fun to watch the trains and hardly noticed them at night. It was peaceful, a delight to watch the birds and hear them sing, as well as watch the river move. This is a special place to rest and rejuvenate.

Clean and comfortable cabin on the river

This cabin was a great location to use as a base for exploring the Kootenai National Forest and beyond. The cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was great to get to enjoy mornings and evenings right on the river and watch the swallows.

Quiet and peaceful location but frustrating and unpleasant stay

The cabin is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The only good point of the entire situation. We had a few issues that frustrated us greatly during our stay. 1) When we arrived, the property owner had not realized it was the date we were supposed to arrive... The cabin was locked up so we had to go to the owner's residence to get the key to get in... When we entered the cabin was freezing cold (everything was unplugged)... Not exactly the cozy "home away from home" arrival we hoped for. 2) We were supposed to have WiFi which was very important to us BC we were in town to visit my husband's ailing mom and had left our kids back home. Our phones didn't have service in that location and so made it impossible to phone home to check on the kids. (Would also be an issue if you were planning to work while on your vacay...) 3) No hot water in the shower. Every single morning we stayed we "enjoyed" the briskest of brisk showers. 4) The shower door was a spring back style and would not, for any reason, stay closed. That along with the freezing cold water made the morning showers a total nightmare. 5) The toilet was shut off... And when we turned the water to it on... It leaked all over the floor. I don't like leaving bad reviews but my goodness. Our stay was not pleasant or what we expected at all. As I said... Frustrating and not pleasant. :-(
