This is a new addition to the Casino. Very clean and new overall, staff was friendly and efficient. Pros and Cons:
+well appointed rooms; beds are comfortable, mini fridge, coffeemaker, mirror has makeup lighting, shampoo/conditioner amenities in shower
+quiet; we were there midweek but hotel was still busy. Didn't hear anything.
+ short easy stroll to main casino building
+spa is great. We had a couples massage and it was superb.
+lots to do in Tucson; very close to San Xavier mission which is so gorgeous. Also closer to Karchner Caverns than Tucson proper
+non smoking casino is really nice
-pool looked like it was already under repair so we didn't swim. It's a loooong walk to the pool at the main building.
-resort food choices are not AT ALL good. We tried Mexican, Japanese, and pizza - all were fast, cheaply made, microwaved, questionable. No great options nearby except Hacienda Azul down the road for breakfast/lunch which was terrific
-although bed was nice, the pillows were either overstuffed or flat. Bring your own if you can.
-you can always tell when men design hotel bathrooms. No shaving niche/shelf in shower; have to lean over the sink to put on makeup (no pull-out separate makeup mirror). No bathroom fan which doesn't help privacy.
