Note this is Menlo Park west of I-10, one of Tucson’s oldest neighborhoods. In fact it’s the original “barrio,” the banks of the Santa Cruz having been continuously inhabited for over 4,000 years. It’s a great neighborhood with a mix of historic, traditional and the up & coming. The street Casa Linda is on is quiet and friendly, filled with traditional multi-generational blue-color families and young professionals.
You`re steps way from one of the best taquerias in town (Sonoran Delights with the fabled Sonoran Hotdog, authentic tacos and dinners, Raspados and Escamoches!), as well as Pat`s Chili Dogs down Grande Ave in Barrio Hollywood, the Mercado San Augustine & MSA Annex with restaurants and stores, and with the street car a block away you`re connected to all that`s cool about Tucson. Also nearby is the Santa Cruz River Walk or `Loop` stretching from south of town all the way north (great for biking, jogging, scooter rides), bike rentals (on Bonito just north), the Garden of Gesthemene sculptures and lots more...
Tucson’s free Trolley service just a couple blocks away, connecting the nearby Mercado District with Downtown, 4th Ave., and the University area. Close access to I-10, downtown and the 210, and Silverbell on the West, make it easy to access most of Tucson, quickly.
