Happy Haven Homestead - Tranquil Home w/ Hot Tub

Set at the foot of Copper Mountain between JT & 29 Palms, Happy Haven is a place where you can relax and enjoy the open space, vast valley views and silence. This 5 acre lot is surrounded by unused BLM land and vacant houses offering peaceful vistas and silence where you can take in the natural noises of the desert. Soak in the hot tub at night in the dark to enjoy the night sky and milky way. 15 min to both entrances of JT park and all that the desert has to offer. VHR21348. This house has exterior security cameras and a nest doorbell. there are no recording devices inside.

Wonderful Quiet and Relaxing stay

We had a great stay. Located exactly halfway between the Joshua Tree and 29 Palms NPS entrances there are many options to explore. The land itself is right on the edge of some BLM land and backs up to a cool mountain. There are no other houses immediately to the right of the property. Great hikes right from the house including discovering a mine. Jacuzzi under the stars....Fires in the front yard....all with the chance of Coyotes serenading you. Had a few hiccups with the Oven and the Jacuzzi....other than that many little details to make your stay comfortable. Owner communication was great. This was perfect for our Golden Retriever. We had to leave him in the backyard on a few trips into the Park as they don't allow Pets on Trails or away from Parking lots. Backyard is fenced perfectly for keeping the dogs safe. Beds were great and pad is well stocked with lots of little things to make your stay better. Appreciated the wine and Joshua Tree Coffee! Listen to what Gary says about the wind....it can blow really hard at times.

Perfect isolated stay

We went to Joshua Tree for a songwriter's retreat and wanted a space to get away from it all and really dial in. Beautiful panoramic views or the desert & mountains, a really well decorated interior, and everything you need to enjoy your stay. Gary was so helpful and responsive when we needed anything, highly recommend this stay!

Relaxing desert vacation

My wife and daughter and I had a great time at Gary's place. We were looking for something quiet and remote; simple but with modern amenities and his cabin checked all the boxes. Communication was great. Quick response time and was very accommodating when we asked to extend by one day. Great host, great place. Couldn't recommend more!

Nice, short getaway

The property was very nice and well maintained. Gary's directions for getting there and for opening (and closing) were spot on. We very much enjoyed the quiet of the desert, cooking in the kitchen and on the grill (everything you need is there), and playing old tunes on the record player. Very comfy beds as well.

Desert Solitude

Overall we were happy with our stay. Communication was excellent! Check-in and getting there is simple, everything is straightforward and on site. We used the fireplace and hot tub, enjoyed the patio and marveled at the silence. The desert is amazing. It is well off the beaten path (dirt road access), but still within about 10 mins to a grocery store, restaurants, even fast food options, and not much further to JTNP and many attractions.

Magical

This was an incredible stay! The views were breathtaking! The place was fully stocked. My husband appreciated the grill utensils because we grilled out every night. This will be my go to next time we are in the area!
