    Questo storico Ft. Screven struttura è stata completamente ristrutturata e rinnovata.
    Layla Palmer di The Lettered Cottage fame ha completamente ridecorato questa incredibile casa ed è stato premiato con il Premio per la Conservazione della Società Storica di Tybee Island !!! Originariamente costruita come una delle tre Mess Hall per il forte, questa casa ha avuto una lunga e colorata storia, incluso il tempo come pensione. Questo duplex con Screened Inn sul lato opposto con il suo ingresso privato, la Mess Hall per uomini armati presenta alti soffitti con ventilatori a soffitto, finestre extra large in ogni stanza, pavimenti in legno e portico schermato.
    Cortile recintato con grandi palme e querce vive. Due isolati dalla North Beach, a 5 minuti dalla stazione della Casa Tybee Luce e il ristorante North Beach Grill. Il Parco Jaycee (campi da calcio, il percorso a piedi, parco giochi) si trova direttamente dietro la casa.

Lovely Historic Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My stay in the Enlisted Men’s Mess Hall came at a wonderful time to be away from my frozen home in TN. As a retired history teacher I enjoyed staying in a home so rich with history. It was fun to imagine the many soldiers who were fed within its walls when Ft. Screven was an active Army post. The interior of the home has been beautifully refurbished with a gorgeous screened in porch wrapping around the outside. I love to stay on the north end of Tybee. This cottage was an easy walk to the park, the beach, and the Tybee Light. I have already reserved a time to return next year.

Quiet and comfortable

This quirky and charming home was the perfect beach getaway for us. A short walk to the beach, lighthouse and science center was perfect for us.

House was so cute with amazing history. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. They even turned the porch lights on for us when they learned we would arrive after dark! Highly recommend Mermaid Cottages and this house. We walked everywhere and others staying in the neighborhood were all friendly and respectful. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. Would definitely stay here again.

Tybee Perfection

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and full of old Tybee charm. Quiet location near the lighthouse and easy stroll to the beach. Loved this well-appointed and homey spot!

Vitamin Sea is awesome!

My family was in town for a wedding and stayed at Vitamin Sea. This house is awesome with great space for a large family. We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house and working with Mermaid Cottages!

Mermaid Cottages make the perfect places to have a beautiful, clean, perfectly decorated and enjoyable place for our vacations. The beach is only a a skip away and it's a loving neighborhood. Yes, loving because we do love it! And the management gives us everything we could possibly want or need! Gracious people always!

We loved the cottage and the details done toward historic preservation. Mornings and evenings on the screened in porch were so peaceful. The fenced in yard for the dog was great. Convenient access to the beach.

Always wonderful

We have stayed at Screened Inn numerous times, and we can't imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Tybee. We also feel that the mermaids are hands down the best property management group that we've ever encountered. We'll be back as soon as possible!
