Great Rental Company
The mermaids were very helpful. They reached out to me when my initial house became unavailable due to plumbing issues and quickly provided options for a new house we could rent for the same weekend. The mermaids also checked in through text during the stay as well to ensure our stay was comfortable.

Charming
The cottage was cute and comfortable for my family of three and our dog - who enjoyed the enclosed yard and nearby park. A bit drafty but who knew Tybee would have its coldest temps in decades during our stay? Close enough to the beach and near some great restaurants (Chamacos or Huc-a-Poos, anyone?). Would recommend for those who enjoy charming character in their vacation rentals. Diane and staff were great and even offered an extra day for free. Would rent again.

A week away
We absolutely loved our time here! It was a short 3-minute bike ride from the beach, so we were there constantly! The house is cute, and the property managers were excellent. We will definitely be back!

Nice cottage in good location
This cottage had everything we needed for a great weekend! The downstairs bedrooms were very comfortable. I suggested they add a light near the key holder to make it easier for late checking to find.

Charming Home, Great Location!
We spent a weekend in Tybee for our annual fossil shark's tooth hunt, and this house was perfect! It was very clean and welcoming, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. As advertised, the house is on a main road and there is quite a bit of traffic that comes by, but it was easy to get in and out of the driveway, and at night people were very respectful of noise levels. It seemed a little quieter than the other side of the island, and I loved being so close to the lighthouse and checking out the historical district. We definitely enjoyed staying here and would stay here again!

Great beach cottage with an incredible personality!
We enjoyed our time at Rosie’s Follie! Very friendly staff at the Mermaid cottages with personalized touches such as dropping off beach toys with a welcome note for our 2 year old granddaughter, such a sweet touch! The North area the house is located on was the perfect side to be steeped with history and peaceful moments without all the hustle of the crowds from the south side . This cottage is welcoming and has fun and eclectic art finishes that stir up the imagination . A beautiful piece of history to experience on Tybee Island, highly recommend!

Awesome getaway
My girlfriend and I were looking for a little weekend getaway and stumbled across Ed this listing on VRBO. We both knew right away that this was the place we wanted stay. Check in was easy, the communication with the rental staff was excellent and they were always there to answer any questions. Not too far from beach access. Would definitely recommend!

Great Stay
House was great for our family with 3 kids under 5. Close proximity to everything, and very walkable to the beach, local playground, light house, marine science center etc. Will consider staying here again in the future.

Another Great Mermaid Stay!
We love Mermaid Cottages. Always the best communication and cutest homes. Our family enjoyed a long weekend here. We were comfy and cozy along with our dogs. No complaints.

Beautiful Cottage
We enjoyed our stay here so much. Even though it rained, the cottage was a much needed cozy retreat. Very clean and amazing communication. And the mermaids even left us champagne for our anniversary.

Yes, the yard is a nice vintage sized yard ~ some people say it looks bigger than they thought. ;) We have lots of other homes with bigger yards ~ come explore with us! :) ~ Jennifer & the Mermaids of Tybee.

Wonderful Little Tybee Cottage!
My family and I stayed in this delightful little cottage for a long overdue family trip. The decor was bright and lively, eclectic, the house immaculate inside and out. There was a nice large kitchen to cook in and eat in, and the bedrooms were comfy and quiet. Overall, the neighborhood was very quiet, and fantastically positioned to go to North Beach for some sea and sun time. We did have a few small issues that arose ( a stopped bathroom sink and a failed exterior electrical outlet used to charge electric golf cart), but the Mermaids were very friendly and quick to address these issues. Overall, I cannot recommend them enough. I will seek to stay in one of their properties again next trip! Thanks, Mermaids!

Back In Time
We absolutely enjoyed staying in such a historical house, seeing the preservation and beauty and wondering who originally lived here. It was just as described. Super nice neighbors, very convenient. Had a couple questions and received very quick response from the managing company. The only recommendation to the owner would, maybe get a larger TV in the living room 😉 (or maybe we’re just spoiled lol). We will definitely be renting Rosie’s Folie again! Thank you 🙏🏻

this was a cottage nowhere in the marketing did it say vintage
your picture of property id 637436 does not represent what it looks like today,the maintenance and up keep were not up to vrbo standards!! 1.upstairs infected with spiders,downstairs with mice,air conditioning not working properly and black mold on shower curtain,ceiling and vents on downstairs bathroom.

This property is in a great location though the street is noisy with cars. The mattresses should be replaced as they are not supportive for a weak back. Some odd decor, especially the doll house upstairs had my kids a bit creeped out. I think if the property was updated internally and externally it would be beneficial.

Thank you for your review! We do mention that Rose's Folie is on a busier street so yes, you are dealing with cars going to the Lighthouse. And some guests love our bed but if someone has a weaker back they may want to bring a support, just in case. Suggestions for future renters
Rose’s Folie is really cute and we do appreciate it being pet friendly, as we only learned two weeks ahead that we had to bring our little dogs with us. Our stay was 5 nights, and we had 3-6 occupants each night. That being said, we used each bedroom and bathroom in the cottage. Throughout the stay we noticed several things that we had to buy on our own as opposed to being supplied like majority of rentals. Out of the 2 bathrooms there was only one fresh roll of toilet paper. Both bath mats were dirty and needed to be washed upon arrival, yet there was no laundry detergent. In the kitchen there were no paper towels, no soap, one garbage bag, a broken faucet and no plastic baggies or food storage. Although it was dog friendly the main condition was that we pick up our dogs poop from the yard, yet as soon as we arrived we had to pick up other dog’s poop in the yard. We have stayed at several beach homes on Tybee and have always been surprised to have beach towels provided, however, at this particular cottage there were no beach towels, and even was a rusted/broken beach umbrella. Overall the home would have been fantastic if it weren’t for minor issues that could easily be fixed by owners or Mermaid Cottages. Future renters should be aware of what they need to bring in order to feel comfortable, clean and at home.

Cute, clean and comfy.
This cute beach cottage was perfect for our girls weekend. Easy check-in and check out. We were able to walk to restaurants and the beach. I was so sad to leave and would definitely stay here again.

Great little cottage
The cottage was very nice and clean. Mermaid Cottages were very helpful and so responsive. I would definitely rent from them again. Mattresses were uncomfortable so not a lot of sleep, but absolutely no complaints other than that.
