“Nice location close to lift system. Good crowd of young seasonal staff running the house. The property has some good features, such as small onsen, ski and drying room. Bedroom was a little noisy due to an adjacent boiler switching on and off during the night.”

“Was a great stay at this great little inn. It may be a bit different than what most western guest expect to find, but I went for the Ryokan experience and was not disappointed. Staff were really great, helpful in scheduling transport to the monkey park and to the train station. Room was clean, good size, and had everything I needed. “The resort is surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful - perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. The owner was very kind and even offered to pick me up and drop me off at the station, and he also took me to visit the old town, Narai-juku.
