The cottage was a good size, with a comfortable and spacious lounge. We particularly appreciated the log burner due to the wet weather. The kitchen was reasonably large and had everything you needed although the cutlery could probably do with updating/replacing. We felt the property was looking a little bit 'tired' in some places - eg the paintwork in the bathrooms - and the towel rail in the ensuite was rusty and didn't work. The property was lovely and quiet (we were there in the off season and the apartment above us and the one next door were empty so we cannot comment if noise transmission would be an issue or not.) I would recommend taking cards, games, walking guides, maps, dvds etc as these are not provided in the central Games Room, as is sometimes the case in other rental properties where we have stayed. The properties are set in beautiful countryside and the autumn colours were spectacular. The swimming pool is small but a very welcome addition - must be booked in advance!
