Hotel a Underwood

“ ⸻ Booked a spa resort for rest and got the opposite. We stay at hotels often and this is my first complaint—and it was that bad. Loud, chaotic environment—guests screaming until 5 AM, then nonstop slamming doors, carts hitting walls, and radios from housekeeping all day. We complained multiple times and nothing was done. Overpriced, cold, soggy food with no microwave available. Management was worse—rude, accusatory response blaming us, then stopped responding altogether. Horrible. Would...

“Historic building with creaky floors in a great downtown location. Initially I was on the third floor in a room facing the roof but I asked to move after noticing the lock was missing from the window. Access could have been gained by anyone else in a 3rd floor "rooftop garden" room. I moved to a 2nd floor room facing the railroad tracks which was noticeably noisier but I have to say the earplugs provided by the hotel do work!”

“Overall a good place to stay especially for the price. Staff was great and room was very clean. Property conditions were so so as it’s been a work in progress. My only complaint was expecting a 2 queen sized beds room and the beds were definitely full sized.”

“Small, noisy but comfortable rooms. Very minimal no fridge, microwave or bench/chair. Great spot to access downtown Hood River. At checking we were handed our key cards and they said have a good stay. No instructions of when pool, sauna was open. No instructions about when and where coffee was an available. We were able to take our own drinks up to the roof top because it is not open for drinks or food yet.”

“The breakfast was terrific but the lack of hot tub was disappointing and the pool was a little cold.”

“Hosts were outstanding on check in. I arrived later in evening around 7:30 pm and they were friendly and receptive and recommended dining options. Even walked me down to the cabin to show the way in the dark. Room was immaculate and beautifully done and very comfortable. Would stay here anytime when within the area. Good location and convenient to attractions, dining, and all basic staples.”
