Excellent birding, hiking, bicycling, relaxing and rejuvenating to be had, only two miles from the Gila National Forest Away from it all, but within day trip distance of Silver City, NM, Tombstone, AZ, Gila Cliff dwellings, Ft. Bowie, AZ, White Water Canyon Catwalk. All the history, archaeology, geology, starry skies and sunshine the high desert is known for, with very comfortable accommodations at the end of your busy days. 2.8 miles of private trails, water courses, trees, meadows, wildlife and wildflowers out the back door. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and kennel for your well-behaved dog. Off the beaten path, with all the serenity, space and solitude you crave.. Exceeded expectations

Everything you could want! This place has everything from plush extra towels to a complete set of dishes and cookware. The host went above and beyond, exceeding all expectations and making our stay truly unforgettable!

Susan was amazing to deal with from start to finish. We had a special request and she helped us out without question. We will definitely be staying here again, over and over. And to be gretted with our last name at entry road really helped us out. She also gifted us with some beautiful chicken eggs from her chickens. From start to finish nothing could have been different for us to enjoy our stay. Beautiful quiet property. Thanks again SusanSee you soon

Beautiful sunsets & lush vegetation

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here with our dog. There were cows roaming the adjacent property and perfect weather during the day. The nights held fireflies and beautiful sunsets. Overall a great house and my wife and I will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Feels just like home.

The owners of this property have done everything to help you feel completely at home. Seeing our name on the property gate as we drove up helped put our mind at ease that we had made it after a long day of traveling. Everything was clean, organized, and the farm fresh eggs in the fridge were the icing on the cake. In the morning, I suggest opening the curtains in the living room to see the gorgeous morning views! And the lightning bugs at night were fantastic! Everything was better than expected complete with comfy beds! Thank you for making this an excellent family trip!

Wonderful place to stay

Such a wonderful place to stay. The house is plenty big with all the amenities needed to feel at home. The owner was very responsive and curtious to any questions we had, which made it that much better of a stay. Beautiful views in all directions to enjoy!

A Desert Oasis...

This property was just what our family was looking for a short getaway. The home was well-stocked, clean, and comfortable. Sitting outside on the wraparound deck was wonderful; watching the sunset was stunning each time. Be sure to step outside at night to see the endless stars! The birds greeted us each morning with their peaceful song. Our host was THE best! She was helpful and took time to give us a tour of the property where we learned about archeology, geology, and history of the property. I can't say enough about how lovely this stay was for our family. A definite must stay!

Wide open spaces

We enjoyed bundling up and sitting on the wrap-around porch to watch the hills waking up from the winter, with snow-covered peaks in the distance. Beds were comfortable, kitchen fully equipped, and all the comforts of home and more.

The home was warm and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our deer hunt. The host was friendly and gave helpful ideas on where to go to try to find deer.

Perfect location

Our family rented both properties listed by owner. We attended our annual family reunion at the Blackjack campground located 10 miles from property. Both properties were nice and clean and the surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed having coffee in the mornings listening to the birds and animals near by before leaving for the day. It was so nice to have fresh eggs as a welding gift by the owner. Great place to stay.

Lovely home along Mule Creek.

This was a very comfortable home in a beautiful setting. We watch the sunrise each morning over the hills, with views of the mountains; birds were singing everywhere, and wild flowers were abundant. Susan, the host, was friendly and helpful. It was perfect for our family.

Beautiful, peaceful house for a Gila Forest vacation!

We had a fantastic stay here! The house is roomy and comfortable, with all the amenities you could need. It's bigger inside than it looks from the outside. We loved sitting out on the front and back porches! It's a lovely, peaceful spot, great for sitting and sipping coffee in the morning and something cold in the evening. The creek and trees off the back porch attracted all sorts of birds, and as a birding sort, I loved keeping track of them, including a nesting pair of Cassin's Kingbirds. Bring binoculars to this spot! And take in the sunsets and sunrises! This made for a perfect place for us to stay while doing day hikes in the western side of the Gila National Forest. We were able to access some beautiful hikes, then come home to a good shower and cold drinks and making dinner in a well-stocked kitchen. Couldn't have been better! Five stars and more!
