Vacanze a Upper Village

Clean room, right in the middle of town. Very nice place to stay

Hotel molto bello, con attenzione ai dettagli, camera molto comoda e ben arredata. Molto apprezzata la sala giochi e la piscina!

We checked in to the hotel at sunset, and the front desk associate was so kind and helpful checking us in, and giving us a lay of the property. The lobby offers free hot tea and coffee throughout the day with various milks, There is an ice machine, water stations with jugs available, and the hotel store had snacks and goodies for purchase if you need anything but didn't want to leave the property. All of amenities were working when we arrived, and the front desk was always willing to turn the firepits on for us if needed. The indoor pool was always warm, sauna was always accessible, the yoga room faces the backyard providing a beautiful view to workout to. The hot tub was turned off one night, but the next night it was available to guests. The grounds were well maintained, and made me want to extend my stay a little longer. There are no elevators on the property, but there are only a couple of stairs to climb if you are on the top level. Our room had a balcony with seating, and it was perfect! The rooms on the other hand had minimal lighting and the bathroom was a tad small for my liking. The rooms and the property overall were clean and I had an enjoyable experience.

After seeing online photos for Field Guide Lodge, we splurged $800/night for our 30th Anniversary. Unfortunately, anticipation quickly faded. We arrived at 2 PM and were told to return at 3 PM. When we returned at 3 PM, our room wasn't ready with no apology—yet we watched another guest arrive early and get welcomed to check in. Our "queen" room felt like a cramped double. The bed was extremely low, lumpy, and dipped in the middle. The room was very dark; even with lights on, we needed phone flashlights to see. The shower was so tight an average person can't turn around without hitting the wall. The toilet was also very close to the wall and had cheap single-ply paper. Cleanliness was a major issue with heavy dust on the dresser, nightstands, and lights, plus unkempt floors. Breakfast doesn't start until 8 AM, and morning coffee tasted left out overnight. The lobby decor is nice, but poor comfort and cleanliness made us eager to leave.
