“A hotel set in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and the dog. The room was a good size and had a balcony with a hammock and lake view. The breakfast was good, with freshly cooked eggs. The food in the evening was a bit limited; only one choice of a main meal but there were numerous bar snacks and sharing platters. Not really a problem though, as there was a restaurant 5 minutes walk down the road. In all a very enjoyable stay”

“Purtroppo sono arrivato a Guimaraes per una sola notte in una giornata di pioggia e non ho potuto godere appieno dell'hotel che comunque giudico stupendo nel suo genere. Un poco lontano dal centro ma non mi lamento perchè avevo noleggiato un auto e il personale mi ha spiegato dove trovare parcheggio in centro. Personale gentilissimo e una colazione abbondante.”

“Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. “Gorgeous property with amazing hosts. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our host is an awesome cook and prepared a delicious dinner for us (on request) the first night. He also shared his fabulous homemade fortified wine. Our room was very comfortable, had access to a living area, full kitchen and patio.
