Kitchen was equipped, Wifi stayed strong.
The apartment is located quite close to the area where homeless and drug addicts are concentrated in Vancouver.
While the apartment appeared clean to the naked eye, the Swiffer collected a lot of dust by simplynwiping the floor. So I had to dust the apartment by myself to make it safe for my daughter who is still crawling.
The listing is advertised as early check-in and late check-out are allowed if there is no booking immediately before or after the stay. So I requested a late check-out to accommodate the morning routine of my special needs daughter the day before my check-out. The owner asked me to reach out in the evening but ended up denying my late check-out request. He cited a scheduled cleaning right after my check-out time as the reason.
I was also advised they could hold bags for a short time if early check-in and late check-out are not accommodated. Upon denial of late checkout, when I asked for holding bags for 2 hrs, the owner denied that as well.
While I fully understand the owner is entitled to enforce the timings, such miscommunication from the owner and dusty apartment ended up causing disruption to my travel plans and added stress while I was already traveling with a special needs child.
