In the heart of the Vars-Les-Claux ski resort, at an altitude of 1850m, Le Refuge des Marmottes *** welcomes you for a magnificent stay in the sunshine of the Southern Alps.

Located in a beautiful luxury residence adorned with wood and stone (L'Ecrin des Neiges), Le Refuge des Marmottes *** is ideally placed in the resort, and 150m from the “Point Show” shopping center where you'll find :
- In winter: the ski slopes and ski schools (ESF and ESI);
- In summer: the Vars swimming pool, tennis courts and an excellent accrobranche;
- All year round: cinema, sports equipment rental stores, bars, terraces and restaurants.

A lovely hiking trail starts at the foot of the residence. For thrill-seekers, the Caribou toboggan run (summer/winter) is also just a stone's throw away. At Le Refuge des Marmottes ***, you don't need to take the shuttle bus, and you don't need your car: it can stay in the basement of the residence throughout your stay.

On a high floor, in a quiet location, you'll enjoy a large balcony for lunch in the sun, or to relax on a deckchair, facing the mountains and a beautiful larch forest.

With a surface area of 40 m², and officially rated 3 stars, Le Refuge des Marmottes *** can accommodate up to 6 people. The flat comprises a beautiful living room with open-plan kitchen and lounge (160 cm bed), a first bedroom with a queen-size double bed (160 cm), a second bedroom with two bunk beds, a bathroom (with bath and shower screen) and separate WC.

In authentic mountain style, Le Refuge des Marmottes *** is particularly well-equipped for maximum comfort: plenty of storage space, flat-screen TV, DVD player, CD/Bluetooth hi-fi system, crib, booster seat, hairdryer, traditional oven, microwave oven, 4 hotplates, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, and the essential raclette and fondue appliances for unforgettable evenings in the mountains.

Services included:
- Wi-Fi (dedicated router with private network): so the whole family can stay connected during your stay;
- Lock-up garage with 16A socket: for secure parking, to charge your electric vehicle, and for direct access to the apartment (particularly useful when the resort is covered in a blanket of snow);
- Ski locker: so you don’t have to clutter up the flat with your equipment;
Optional:
- End-of-stay cleaning (€70, included in winter): so you don’t have to worry about housework;
- Bed linen, towels and tea towels provided on arrival (€30 per person): so you don’t have to do laundry or carry bulky luggage.

The magnificent Vars ski area offers a wide variety of slopes at altitudes ranging from 1,650m to 2,750m, facing in all directions, and with a range of different atmospheres: wide-open spaces at high altitude, internationally renowned snowparks (for beginners and experienced riders alike), the world’s fastest speed run (over 250 km/h), fabulous off-piste terrain (from the most accessible snowfields to the most challenging couloirs), and some beautiful slopes nestled amongst the larch trees, which give the Forêt Blanche its unique charm.

At Le Refuge des Marmottes ***, you will be welcomed by our team, who will look after your every need and do their utmost to ensure you have the most enjoyable stay possible.

Practical information:
- The residence’s communal areas include a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers (coin-operated).
- Whilst smoking is permitted on the balcony, the apartment is non-smoking.
- Pets are not permitted at Le Refuge des Marmottes ***.
- The end-of-stay cleaning service does not include the kitchen area.
- The tourist tax is payable at the current rate (around a few euros per adult per night). It is included in the price displayed by Abritel.
- The security deposit for the apartment is €500. The cleaning deposit is €80.
- By default, check-in is on Saturdays from 4 pm, and check-out is on Saturdays before 10 am. If you wish to arrive later or leave a little earlier, no problem: everything is arranged.
