Balandras Beach Stay #3 is a modern and comfortable 1-bedroom, 1-bath beach retreat located within Balandras Beach House, a private 4-unit complex in Cerro Gordo, Vega Alta, Puerto Rico. Guests enjoy direct beach access and a shared pool area designed for relaxation and convenience. The complex includes lounge chairs, outdoor seating areas, an outdoor kitchen with BBQ, bathrooms by the pool, and a shared washer and dryer in the common area. The property is also close to Cerro Gordo State Park, which offers miles of trails for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking.



This unit is simple yet stylish, with clean finishes and comfortable furnishings that create a relaxed beach vibe. Please note that the queen bed is located in the living space; we want to make sure guests are comfortable with this arrangement before booking.





LIVING AREA AND KITCHEN



Step into a bright living area with a sofa, arm chair, TV, and a queen bed that doubles as both a lounge and sleeping space. The kitchen is equipped with a 2-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, and full-size refrigerator/freezer, plus cookware and essentials needed to prepare meals at home.





SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



Balandras Beach Stay #3 accommodates up to 6 guests across 1 bedroom and the living area:



- Living Area: Queen bed and TV



- Bedroom: Bunk bed with two full beds



- Bathroom: Full bathroom with shower



All sleeping and living spaces are air-conditioned for comfort.





GUEST ACCESS:



Guests staying at Balandras Beach Stay#3 will have:



- Access to the pool and BBQ gazebo shared with three other units.



- Direct access to beautiful Cerro Gordo Beach.



- Use of the unit’s modern amenities, including Wi-Fi and air conditioning.



- A shared front porch with House #2.





OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:



- Please keep in mind that the pool is a shared space. We kindly ask all guests to use it responsibly and respect others staying on the property.



- Quiet hours and respectful behavior ensure everyone enjoys their stay.



- No events or large gatherings are allowed.



- If you are interested in renting additional space within the complex, Balandras Beach House offers other options: House #1 is a 2-bedroom unit, House #2 is a studio unit, and House #4 is a beachfront 4-bedroom unit. Please send us a message if interested.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





IMPORTANT POOL RULES



- POOL HOURS ARE FROM 9:00 AM TO 9:00 PM.

- CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

- COOLERS, FLOATERS, SPEAKERS, BALLS, FOOD, OR DRINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED.



The Neighborhood:

Balandras Beach Stay#3 is located in Vega Alta. Well known among locals for its excellent location, and world-class beach. Vega Alta is an easy 40-minute drive from the airport and has a wide array of dining options nearby.



Take advantage of the Balandras Luxury Stays amenities for an amazing day at Cerro Gordo Beach, or enjoy the pool and BBQ area for a relaxing afternoon with family and friends.



There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are our top picks:



- Explore the local culinary scene with everything from Puerto Rican specialties to excellent Italian and Asian options.

- Road trip to the Dorado public beach, just a 5-minute drive away. This beach is almost a mile long and features various beachfront restaurants and bars, perfect for beachcombing.

- Shop at the Barceloneta Outlets, a 30-minute drive away, offering a variety of shopping and dining options.

- Spend a day in Old San Juan, a 30-minute drive away. It is the oldest city in all of the US and full of history, colorful streets, and cultural experiences.

- Hike the Cerro Gordo State Park. The entire loop is 3 miles long and takes about an hour and fifteen minutes to complete. For safety, hike in the opposite direction of mountain bikers and use a trail app such as All Trails.



Getting Around:

GETTING AROUND & PARKING



The property includes parking for up to two (2) vehicles.



Renting a car is a must when staying in Vega Alta. You will need it to move around to nearby restaurants and shops as well as to explore the rest of the island. Ubers are not readily availble in the area and must not be relied on!

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Balandras Luxury Stays, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





INSTANT & LAST-MINUTE BOOKING POLICY



Instant Booking is available if reserved at least 2 days before check-in.



For same-day or next-day reservations, availability depends on our cleaning schedule. You’re welcome to send a booking request, but please note that this does not guarantee the unit is booked—all requests must be reviewed and approved by our team. Requests sent late at night may not be reviewed until the following day, and same-day bookings are usually not accepted after 6:00 PM.

HOUSE RULES



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 4 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.



Interaction with Guests:

TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.
