“Very basic and comfortable place to rest. This motel is on a very busy and loud(SUVs and motorcycles) corner at the gateway to the American River Rec. area. It is a very short stroll to Auburn historic downtown with pubs and excellent restaurants. It was Uber clean with a great shower. Somewhat worn but, again, location was excellent and wonderful helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.”

“Hotel is really run down. Shower would not turn off all the way, AC did not cool room down, hot tub was not filled and blocked off, exterior door to hallway did not shut properly, the exterior stairs had garbage and cigarette butts on landing. The rooms the I80 traffic is very loud. When I mentioned shower and AC problems to front desk I was told they were aware of the problems but owner does not want to fix anything.”

“The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was clean, the spa was filled in with cement. The hotel while clean upfront was a little dusty in the corners. The shower stall was in need of a good scrub, it had buildup. I would stay here again. And for the money I was satisfied with everything but the shower.”

“Staff was generally fine. Problems: TV in room was very, very snowy. Unwatchable. Morning breakfast is not really a breakfast. Just a snack. Kinda misleading. If you check to see if a room is available before their normal check-in of 3 o'clock they will charge you an extra $55 if they have rooms ready. Never seen this before. Property is old and a bit tired. When we finally checked in we had to changed one room due to smoke smell. Plus a $100 damage fee is charged. Won't know if returned until...
